The internet is a weird, wild and wonderful place. Recently, while perusing page after page of beauty products looking for images of cosmetics that make you go hmmmmm I came across a product that made me go whhhhaaaaaaattttt?
Owners of vulvas, I have a question for you... Have you ever considered highlighting your hoohaa? Giving a touch of glimmer to your lady garden? Because, if you want to, there's a product that can do exactly that...

Introducing the highlighter that can create 'a radiant, light-filtered look with a skin-softening luminizer gentle enough for the bikini area', the Very V Luminizer from Shades of V.
Initially, I was very much on the 'um, are you sure?' side of the fence. Because in what world do I want my downstairs area to be glowy and gorgeous? I'm not exactly angling it in the direction of the sun in order to show off how pretty it is. Nor am I wanting to bring attention to its fleshy self. As far as I'm concerned my vulva is about as important to me as the soles of my feet. It's there, it has a job to do, I'll check in on it if it's causing any irritation, but it's not to be fawned over.
Clearly, this product is not targetted at me. However, I do believe the brand's marketing team needs a high five. Stumbling across their highlighter intrigued me so much that I had to check out their products, which turned out to be a vagina-friendly range, featuring cleansers, moisturisers and exfoliators (and if you've ever had an ingrown hair down there you'll know just how important a gentle exfoliation of your vajayjay is) that are perfect for people who are regular waxers or shavers. I bet it's a hit with the lingerie/swimwear Instagram model set.
As for that highlighter? It can be used on other parts of your body. Which is great, because I can't imagine how many times a day you'd have to highlight your downstairs in order to use up the product before it expired.
So... Would you consider luminising down under? Is it a straight up no for you? And what are your thoughts on beauty products that are made specifically for the under carriage? Get chatting below!
I'm not the target audience for this, I don't even use makeup on my face, but it's good that there is a safe and appropriate product out there for all those who are interested.
