Are You A Holosexual?

I nearly spat my coffee out all over my laptop. My eyes nearly bugged out of my head. I giggled a little.

Those were my reactions to a single word that came out of YouTube beauty vlogger Tati's mouth. A word I'd never heard before. A word I've heard plenty times since. The word?

Holosexual.

In a nutshell it's what you call someone who is obsessed with all things holographic, and the term is attributed to YouTuber, SimplyNailogical. You can see when visiting her page that she is a fan of all things holo. (If you do visit her page, be prepared for some swear words and general mayhem, something I enjoy but I know it's not everyone's cup of tea. You have been warned.) Since she cointed the term it's spread through the beauty webesphere as has the populartity of all things holographic. Are we surprised? Not at all. What's not to love about a rainbow of shimmering colours?

Speaking of gorgeous on a dressing table... Hellooooooo Becca's Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Pristmatic Amethyst. Is that shade not absolute perfection? I don't think I could even bring myself to use it. I'd just hold it up to the light and move it side to side, watching the light catch and reflect.

Of course if you want to get a little holo, but don't want to delve too deep then a little holographic lip gloss is a good way to go. Although we can't help but think anyone dipping their toe into a holo gloss, like Sigma's Lip Switch will soon find themselves diving in and going full Holosexual.
