Are You Getting Your Greens?

'Don't forget to eat your greens!'

Hands up who grew up hearing that over and over and over...

Well, we have a feeling that the saying's about to morph into something far more palatable...

'Don't forget to wear your greens!'

Yes, green goodness from the vege (and sea) patch is making its way into skin care ranges. So what's out there? What's hot? And what's good for you? Check these out...

SKIN by ecostore Gentle Cleanser

Ah, seaweed. The vegetable of the sea. Great as a snack, delicious as a cleanser. SKIN by ecostore's Gentle Cleanser features New Zealand Seaweed, avocado, grapeseed extract and blackcurrant oil to give a gentle cleanse while soothing your skin. Yum.

Mario Badescu Seaweed Cleansing Lotion

Looking for a toner to help cleanse and settle your skin? With witch hazel to further cleanse and seaweed to soothe your skin, Mario Badescu's Seaweed Cleansing Lotion could be just the ticket!

Essano Superfoods Kale Hydrating Daily Moisturiser

The Kale Hydrating Daily Moisturiser from the Essano Superfoods range is a powerhouse of goodness. It has kale. Rocket. Carrot. Aloe Vera. It's bursting with Vitamins A and E and is designed to boost hydration and support elasticity and collagen production. It's like a salad for your skin and we can't wait to get it on ours!

Skinfood Night Avocado Mask

Unpopular opinion: Avocados are overated. Seriously. I don't get the obsession. In fact the only time I'm here for an avocado is when the taste and texture is masked with lime juice, salt, red onion, chilli and coriander. So basically, if it's guacamole I'm all over it. BUT... avocado in our skin care? That I understand. Next on the 'to buy' list? Skinfood's Night Avocado Mask. Not only does it feature avocado oil, it also has cucumber extract (which I feel we can totally call a green) alongside the likes of nourishing, healing manuka honey, aloe vera, rosemary leaft extract (another green!) and more! Hello hydration!!

Origins By All Greens Foaming Deep Cleansing Mask

If a good cleanse is more what you need over a good dose of hydration then the Origins By All Greens Foaming Deep Cleansing Mask could well rock your world. With Spinach, Green Tea and Spirulina and kaolin clay, it promises to detox your skin while giving it a vitamin, mineral and antioxidant boost!

Elemis Superfood Facial Oil

I'm all but traumatised by a childhood memory of sitting at the dinner table for hours because I refused to eat my broccoli (to this day I still hate it and only eat it to model healthy eating for my child, all the while my inner-nose is shrivelled in disgust). Broccoli in an oil though? This I can get on board with. Combine it with rosehip, radish, cucumber, rosemary, carrot and more? There's a reason this facial oil from Elemis is called 'Superfood'.

Sure, some say beauty comes from the inside out. What you put in is what you see on your skin. But we're all for a cheat day. Or a cheat every day. And skin care filled with green goodness might just be our favourite way to achieve our 5+ a day. (Jokes, we know you have to eat your rainbow!)

So are you all for getting your greens in and on your bod? Or does the idea of plying your skin with vegetables make you... er... green? Get chatting!

The only one I've tried out of these is the "Ecostore" product and it's amazing! I highly recommend. I love that even though it has seaweed in it, it doesn't smell fishy. I did not breakout Once! And my skin looked and felt amazing. The price is $19.99 you can buy it from the supermarkets. The rest I want to try!!! =D
