Confession by BR Natalie
This might just be the prettiest makeup brush I've ever owned. It's the Za Kabuki brush.
It's as soft as it looks, yet has enough resistance to apply and buff powder well. You can even contour with it. Apparently. I'm taking these virtues as gospel because I just cannot bring myself to use it. It's too cute.
So there the brush sits, like a flower in bloom on my art deco mirrored table in my boudoir. Which no one sees. Because MTV Cribs have never asked me to appear.
This brush isn't the only cosmetic I've purchased knowing full well 'twould ne'er touch my skin. I have an $80 Elizabeth Arden bronzer I won't use because I just can't bear the thought of smushing up the beautiful pattern. Paul & Joe cosmetics? Won't stop buying them. Won't use them. How could I kill (cosmetic) cats in the name of beauty?! CANDLES!!! I have just noticed I own candles I can't burn. Because they're too pretty. If I can't kill cosmetic cats, I sure as heck can't immolate beeswax Owls.
As I sit and totter up the amount of money I've spent on pretty products I won't use, I realise why I live in $4 ballet shoes from The Warehouse.
The good news is, all is not lost. I can stop at anytime. And its not hard. It's not a 12-step program. There's just one step.
STOP BUYING PRETTY TAT YOU DON'T NEED AND WON'T USE!!
Yeah, hard for me to stop buying things, I usually just treat myself because I work hard, had a tough week, had a great week, had a too average week, I’m happy or I’m sad, there’s always a reason(excuse) to buy more... :/
