Does the sight of hair upon a man’s chin cause a thrill to race through you? Does the mere thought of that face full of hair follicles have you reaching for the device that provides you internet and send you swiping through the likes of Instagram and Pinterest for more unproductive hours than you care to admit? Although, in my opinion, staring at beautiful beards when you could be cleaning, cooking or doing work could hardly be called unproductive, I’d call it inspiring.
Yes, I admit, I’m a full-fledged obsessive fan of the beard. Big and bushy, trimmed and tidy, I’ll take what I can get and it’s a good time to love the beard, because men are embracing their beards and taking them to the next level.
My latest lusty beard addiction is what has been coined ‘the merman’. Men are dyeing their hair in bright colours. I’m seeing head and beardfuls of hair in blazing orange, azure blue, rich purple and hot pink. Some are mixing it up and leaving the hair on their head their usual colour and only dying their facial hair, while others are stepping out with heads and beards a mix of rainbow colours.

The other beard look I can’t get enough of? The beard bouquet. They’re so pretty, so soft, such a nice balance to the often harsher fuzziness of a bearded boy. I don’t image it’s all that easy to eat when you’ve a bush full of begonias dancing around your mouth, but oh it looks knees-a-wobbly good.
Another beard style I can totally appreciate is the lumberjack beard – it’s so raw, so real, so throw me on the bed and ravage me like a cave man you sexy beast you. You can find a fair few of them (and seriously this will send you wondering where the last couple of hours went) at Bearded Kings. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
I wondered if I were the only Beauty Review Crew member to have such a fixation on some chin fuzz, turns out I am not. There is one other obsessed member*, and another who is a bit of a fence sitter and she reckons she only likes short groomed beards – but I reckon Bearded Kings will push her over the edge into full on beard fandom.
So are you a beard-lover? Can you spend hours staring into the soulful eyes of beard loving men? Do you appreciate the effort men are making with their facial hair? Or do you like your guys fuzz-free? And….. do you think a bearded man can appreciate a girl who doesn’t like to shave either … ‘cause … you know …. I’m just …. um ….wondering ….(for a friend you understand). Spill!
*BR Natalie: I confess. It is I. I have a beard obsession. My favourite account to follow is @raisedbywolves83 You're welcome.
I think on the right guy, a beard looks nice. I notice a lot of the rugby players have beards now.
