We’re lucky to have so many beautiful beauty brands available here in little old New Zealand. Whether shopping instore or browsing online it’s a veritable feast. But you know what? Sometimes, for us beauty junkies, we find ourselves just wanting more. It’s like ordering a delicious meal at a restaurant only to glance over at a meal on the table next to you and suddenly have food envy. Yep, for all the brands we have, there are some we find ourselves lusting after, wishing we could easily order or shop for here in New Zealand (because as you know, at Beauty Review we’re all about supporting the New Zealand beauty industry.) So what are the top five brands we wish we could simply shop for in person or online from an official New Zealand source?
Charlotte Tilbury. The packaging alone makes us drawl, and then we see our favourite vloggers showing off their latest CT hauls and the envy gets real. Oh to be able to walk into Ballantynes or Smith & Caugheys to find a CT counter. One can but dream…
Too Faced products are too much. Seriously. Not only is the packaging crazy cute, they even created a collection that smells like chocolate. Just thinking about it makes me hungry. Can you imagine how good it would be to wear it? And now they have a Peanut Butter and Jelly palette and we can’t get our hands on it. Come on, Too Faced, you’re in Aussie – make the leap over the ditch!
Urban Decay is available in New Zealand, if you happen to be flying internationally. The brand’s got a base with Aelia Duty Free, which is great, but it’s not enough for those of us who need an UD fix and aren’t going anywhere. I have heard that Naked palettes are stocked at Japan Home Mart – but we want more! A dedicated counter. An online Kiwi presence. We want to hit ‘buy’ and have it turn up on our doorstep tomorrow! And we want to get all the latest releases, because let’s be honest, those Gwen Stefani eyeshadow and blush palettes look amazing! Get on my face already!
For the briefest of moments we were able to pick up some Soap & Glory products from Postie. Lately? Not so much. Their disappearance caused a flame of hope to be extinguished. UK brand of Soap & Glory has been taking the world by storm for a decade… just not us so much. But now we’ve had a taster we want more! Bring those bath and beauty products our way, please!
To be fair ColourPop isn’t available to most of the world. They don’t have shops or a presence in shops, so if you want it you have to order online, and we should probably count ourselves lucky that they will ship to us. But have you seen the shipping price? Wouldn’t it be fabulous if we could just wander into Farmers and scoop up their gorgeous shadows, blushers, highlighters and lippies whenever the urge took us? Which would be daily.
So there you have it, the top five brands we wish we could easily get our hands on here in EnZed. Are any of those brands on your ‘want’ list? Do you have others to add? Does anyone know someone in high places who could make this happen? Chat away!
Yes I'd love to try all of these brands and be able to get them in NZ! I've heard so many good things about all of these brands.
