We love a good man-bun here at BRHQ, but it seems the blokes are getting a bit bored of them and have now moved on to a look we women have known for a long time is a bit fab… plaits. Yes, #manplaits is becoming a thing and Instagram is a feast of man-plaitishness, with some people loving them, some people hating them and some just not sure…

Check these fellows and their pretty plaits out…

From basic plaits, to French braids to more intricate affairs, the guys are going hard. You do have to wonder, what will they do next? I don’t know about you but I’m a little excited (and nervous!) to find out…

So are you a fan of the man-plait? Do you prefer the man-bun? Both!? Chat away…

I like the man bun best! My cousin has a long mohawk and he plaits it like this but he has the sides shade, I think his one is the best man-plait I have seen, so far :)

Hmmm, I'm not too sure about this one. But I guess I did think that about the bun when I first saw it and I really love the look now so who knows?

I think that just like beards and facial hair looks good on some guys and some guys look good clean shaven the same applies to manbuns and manplaits. Over course you have those incredibly handsome guys that can rock any style.

I prefer the man plait to the man bun but I'm not a huge fan of either.

No No No on so many levels. Please stop this now before it gets out of control.

I'm on the fence with both the buns and the plaits. Just like any other hairstyles, if it is worn right and suits the guy then I'm all for it, if it doesn't suit him or his type of hair, then no!

3rd February, 2016

... nah. Not a fan hahaha not a fan of the man bun either ;-)

3rd February, 2016

I'm all for it if its worn the right way! I like how they are worn I. The series The Vikings, I don't like how they were worn on elves in LOTR. I like how the top picture has been done but the bottom not so much. I'd say I'm on the fence!

These guys look plain ridiculous.

I really like it on the shorter haired beauties. I'm just not a fan of long hair so those... nope.

I wonder if Paddy will let me have a go at this...

3rd February, 2016

I would like Kit Harington to adopt this trend.

3rd February, 2016

NO !!! Really wimpy !!! I like my men to be mannish not pretty.

2nd February, 2016

Image at the very top of the article almost had me but then a big Nope after seeing the rest... I didn't like the Man-bun but I could be swayed to like this look but only on the right man... not my man I might add... he won't have a bar of this lol

I love plats. I like them them more than buns. Plats have been around for so long now. Snoop dog always had plats for as long as I can remember.Im a huge fan of corn rows, I always wanted to try them out. Specially when I saw Beyonce do them in her song Say my name video clip.

Yick - sorry, a plait and a beard don't go together for me :(

I don't think the facial hair is helping the case either... I don't mind a little more than stubble but just not huge fan for the full on beard :/ (some exceptions are out there but none spring to mind immediately)
