Coloured Mascara - Yay or Nay?

Hmm I can't say that I've tried. Maybe it would make the green in my eyes stand out more??

First started playing with make-up when I was in high school. It was the eighties. Colours were ELECTRIC - including mascara. I had shocking pink, electric blue, bright purple and emerald green. They were great fun - I used to have a coat of navy blue mascara base then put a contrasting colour on the tips. I have been wondering when they would make a comeback - strange it hasn't been sooner, when you consider the rainbow shades hair colours can be these days.

I have never tried a coloured mascara, I think if I was going to I would definitely go for a dark navy, one that looks black but in the sun it would really pop!

Just tried benefit new they're real blue and brown mascara! Amazing!!!!!!!!!! And I don't even wear loads if makeup. So fun, and easy and honest a simple way to change up your look, even with limited make up and no eye showers or liners

I love blue and I would like to try pink, purple, gold and silver. It's fun for something different but I wouldn't wear it everyday.

I used to have red and blue when I was a teenager and always got told I looked ridiculous! Looks like it's making a super comeback though!

May need to re-invest in some decent colours - I personally LOVE green with my dark brown hair (always my first choice when it comes to eye shadow colours too)

I love how this would look on some people. But for me my lashes are so short, sparse and stubby that black is the best color for me. I do think that this would amazing on those with fairer skin and reasonably dense lashes. So I'm leaving this to the other lovely members to trial.

Not something I've tried and not something I'm lusting over either to be honest. I'll stick with boring old black

i love coloured mascara! i don't rock it these days but when i was younger i did wear dark blue. My mum who is now 52 rocks dark blue mascara, she prefers it over black or brown and she really suits it with the lovely blue eyes she has! i can remember her wearing it ever since i was little! i would love to try some blue mascara again! i don't think i could rock yellow though!!!

I definitely would like to try a coloured mascara - navy, purple and turquoise are on my wishlist! (That and some coloured eyeliner for the waterline to match ...)

I had a blue one when I was young. I think the coloured mascara are far more interesting than the black ones. Look at those brown eyes with the green one! Amazing.

I've tried a glittered gold mascara and really like it! Even though it's only for parties or events it's still fun to wear.

I used to wear dark purple mascara as a teen in the 80s and loved it! It was very subtle and you only really noticed the purple in sunlight. I'm guessing the Bal Gal plum is similar. I think I would like this!

Plum - yum! back in the late 80's I had a nutrimetics bright blue & a purple one, which I loved. Mum had a green one (she might still have that? I hope its not the same one!)
