Did you use to use Pantene?

Did you know that the biggest hair care concern of New Zealand women is damage protection?

Well that's what Pantene discovered in a recent survey of Kiwi women.  Some other interesting revalations include;

  • Just over one in ten Kiwi women said a bad hair day would leave them feeling “frustrated and angry at the world”.
  • 13% of us would actively avoid eye contact with people if our hair wasn’t up to scratch.
  • Twenty-three percent of women surveyed said if they were unhappy with their hair they’d rather stay at home than venture outside.
  • More than half of all respondents saying a bad hair day leaves them feeling embarrassed and self-conscious.

So Pantene set out to create a new formula that could address women's major hair concern - damage protection and say goodbye to bad hair days.

This new formulation can be found across the entire range of Pantene products - new and improved, you don’t have to compromise great feeling hair by weighing it down with protective or restorative ingredients.  The optimal blend of Pro-V in new Pantene nourishes and protects hair to deliver up to 100% damage protection with a lightweight feel.

The Pantene range also contains a revolutionary technology in Keratin Damage Blockers, which help defend hair against irreversible oxidative damage. With every wash hair is healthier, more resilient and more beautiful.

Well of course we simply have to put the new range to the test, and who better to report back than those who've tried the old range in the past?  Yes we're putting a call out for lapsed Pantene users to give the new range a go!

So if you're up for a bit of a trial challenge why not comment below with your experience of Pantene in the past - your reviewing expertise may be called upon soon!

I used to use Pantene before I started hairdressing. It was only then I was put off it from other stylists because of the high silicone content, it literally coated the hair and prolonged use effected colouring results. They have sinced changed the formula and personally I didn't like it...If it was changed again I would definitely think of giving it a go again.

I used pantene religiously a few years ago, but stopped when it wasnt doing a lot for the condition of my hair and i seemed to have to wash everyday (with hair this long and thick that its a hugely costly and time consuming process). I do suffer big damage problems (again the length) though so this has certainly piqued my interest!

I used Pantene for years and years when I was a child / teenager and Rachel Hunter was on the ads for Pantene. Its been a good 8 years since I last tried a Pantene product. Ill defiantly give Pantene another go.

Wow, blast from the past. I haven't used it for about 15 years as I found it irritated my scalp. I then swapped to salon brands and the Sorbet range which is all I use now. Maybe the new formulation would be good, who knows :)

I use the de tangle spray daily. I also use the all day smooth cream. I love Pantene

Goodness, Pantene! Mainly used it back when Rachel was spouting that it doesn't happen overnight but it does happen. Have no idea if my hair would like it or not now, I remember it started to feel like my hair was really weighed down. Last used when they still had a clarifying shampoo in a green bottle, circa early 2000's?? But it wasn't to last on the market. Would be willing to try again if its no longer weighty on the hair.

I have used Pantene on and off over the years and I think it is a great product. Back in the old days (sound like my Dad) I found the formula to be thick and made my hair dry and awful, I have recently started using the newer formula's, especially for coloured hair I found them to be a lot better than the old days. They also have a few other formulas that I wouldn't mind trying.

Gosh last time was probably about 5/7 years ago? I've always loved their scent.

I used Pantene for a while during my teens and found the results positive at first before they kind of petered out. My decision to switch was also influenced by the fact that a hairdresser told me that Pantene (Tresemme) also is bad for your hair. They said the silicones in them coat your hair, making it look shiny and smooth at first, before actually blocking any good oils from getting to the hair, eventually drying it out. This explained my experiences with the product(s) so I gave up on them :(

I've used Pantene in the past and I do love it, always left my hair feeling amazing. The reason why I don't buy it anymore is coz it's always so expensive

26th November, 2014

Pantene used to me my go to brand, have recently starting using L'Oreal Elvive. My hair always feels better when I switch brands, but Pantene has always been over the years what I have switched back to.

I've used Pantene products since I was a teenager. Love the conditioner but not that keen about the shampoo. I love the smell (kind of like pears?) and it's the brand I always return to after trying out whatever's new.

I used to love Pantene! But I quickly got over that, and I haven't used it in a long, long time... a few years maybe. I hated the way the conditioner made my hair feel - forever greasy and heavy and just generally gross, and the shampoo never made my hair feel clean, either. Hopefully the formula is better now!

I have heard not so good things about long term usage of pantene and haven't used it in a few years but I'm always willing to give things a second chance.

26th November, 2014

I used to use Pantene, but for some reason changed to other shampos and conditioners. I would love to try it again, as my hair is in need of some TLC!
