Did you use to use Pantene?

Did you know that the biggest hair care concern of New Zealand women is damage protection?

Well that's what Pantene discovered in a recent survey of Kiwi women.  Some other interesting revalations include;

  • Just over one in ten Kiwi women said a bad hair day would leave them feeling “frustrated and angry at the world”.
  • 13% of us would actively avoid eye contact with people if our hair wasn’t up to scratch.
  • Twenty-three percent of women surveyed said if they were unhappy with their hair they’d rather stay at home than venture outside.
  • More than half of all respondents saying a bad hair day leaves them feeling embarrassed and self-conscious.

So Pantene set out to create a new formula that could address women's major hair concern - damage protection and say goodbye to bad hair days.

This new formulation can be found across the entire range of Pantene products - new and improved, you don’t have to compromise great feeling hair by weighing it down with protective or restorative ingredients.  The optimal blend of Pro-V in new Pantene nourishes and protects hair to deliver up to 100% damage protection with a lightweight feel.

The Pantene range also contains a revolutionary technology in Keratin Damage Blockers, which help defend hair against irreversible oxidative damage. With every wash hair is healthier, more resilient and more beautiful.

Well of course we simply have to put the new range to the test, and who better to report back than those who've tried the old range in the past?  Yes we're putting a call out for lapsed Pantene users to give the new range a go!

So if you're up for a bit of a trial challenge why not comment below with your experience of Pantene in the past - your reviewing expertise may be called upon soon!

Used Pantene for a number of years. Switched over to Schwartzkopf or L'oreal as found them better. Wouldn't find trying Pantene again to compate with the others.

I used to use it all the time and loved it but stopped using it a few years back

I used to use Pantene about 10 years ago, but was told by the hairdresser that it wasn't good for any hair as some of the ingredients actually hurt the hair follicles. So I haven't used it for at least 10 years! Love to try the new formulation though to see if it delivers!!!

I didn't like all the bad reviews it had and it seemed to coat my hair which felt gross. Be interested to see if it changed for the better

I used to use it years and years ago, but have since started using salon only hair products, I just find they make my hair feel better

I used it years ago, but heard bad things about Pantene so stopped using it

This is a blast from the past. Always used pantene products but stopped when I was first pregnant 12 years ago and can not remember why? I would be thrilled to be picked for this trial please. My hair is currently in bad shape and it is embarrassing.

I haven't used Pantene for about 15 years! I was also told there is something in the product that prevents hair colour developing in your hair properly. Kind of annoying when you spend $$$ on hairdresser colouring your hair. This was also my experience as well :-(

I always used to use Pantene, then I shifted to herbal essences and now to loreal. My old Flatmates had Pantene clinicare and my hair has never felt so amazing, but the last shampoo I brought was to specifically look after the colour I've been putting through my nearly-waist-length curly hair. Would be interesting to see if the new formula would be enough to convert me back..

I used Pantene many years ago until someone told me that it just put an unhealthy coating on your hair to make it feel silky and look shiny - I have been using L'Oreal since

I used pantene about 7 years ago, however a hair dresser told me to stay away from it as my hair wouldn't dye correctlyrics as aparently pantene put a coating around the hair... would love to start using again if it's ok to use before dying hair

New packaging again and improved formulation? curious about this I have this brand in the bathroom at home right now I love to mix up what I use heard the brand was "bad" for your hair because of the silicon in the product which coats your hair making it resistant to dyes and it builds up in your hair like a coating. I suppose if you do not really colour your hair this could be a good thing like maybe protecting from the sun and weather and hair would look thicker if there is a coating on it maybe its a protective thing and Pantene is not bad after all! love to try I also was pleased to find they made one that was silicon free and more natural it smelt good too.

I used to use Pantene religiously.. Then someone told me it was just coating my hair in silicone? I just changed to whatever the hairdresser sold me, kerestase I think. Not back to super market brands because it's cost effective for my family and yet.. I still wonder about Pantene, .

I have used the formula for taming curls for years while also using Kerastase products. I love this shampoo so why the need to change the formula. I get so annoyed when they change what works for me and add substances that I end up having a sensitive reaction to. Please let's hope that this had not happened here because I'd be very unhappy - again. I have such sensitive skin that it's hard enough to find products that work for me let sl one finding pen and then having the formula changed. ......Aaahhhh !!!!!!

i used thisfor years but always heard there was something in it that made it 'bad' for my hair so have been making the rounds of the other brands but this always left my hair feeling silky
