Did you use to use Pantene?

Did you know that the biggest hair care concern of New Zealand women is damage protection?

Well that's what Pantene discovered in a recent survey of Kiwi women.  Some other interesting revalations include;

  • Just over one in ten Kiwi women said a bad hair day would leave them feeling “frustrated and angry at the world”.
  • 13% of us would actively avoid eye contact with people if our hair wasn’t up to scratch.
  • Twenty-three percent of women surveyed said if they were unhappy with their hair they’d rather stay at home than venture outside.
  • More than half of all respondents saying a bad hair day leaves them feeling embarrassed and self-conscious.

So Pantene set out to create a new formula that could address women's major hair concern - damage protection and say goodbye to bad hair days.

This new formulation can be found across the entire range of Pantene products - new and improved, you don’t have to compromise great feeling hair by weighing it down with protective or restorative ingredients.  The optimal blend of Pro-V in new Pantene nourishes and protects hair to deliver up to 100% damage protection with a lightweight feel.

The Pantene range also contains a revolutionary technology in Keratin Damage Blockers, which help defend hair against irreversible oxidative damage. With every wash hair is healthier, more resilient and more beautiful.

Well of course we simply have to put the new range to the test, and who better to report back than those who've tried the old range in the past?  Yes we're putting a call out for lapsed Pantene users to give the new range a go!

So if you're up for a bit of a trial challenge why not comment below with your experience of Pantene in the past - your reviewing expertise may be called upon soon!

Growing up I refused to use anything but Pantene because my hair instantly felt horrible and less shiny if I used anything else, I thought it was just cause Pantene was the best and everything else didn't compare. I eventually found out the reason my hair felt so soft and shiny was cause Pantene was loaded with silicates which wasn't as great for my hair as I thought. So I decided to break the habit and cut Pantene out. After a week of my hair feeling boring and limp the natural shine and softness started to come back on it's own and I've never looked back. It's been about 10 years since I last used Pantene!

I used to use it and have a half bottle of shampoo left in the cupboard. I stopped using it to try anti-hair fall and thickening products instead after my hair starting falling out from thyroid issues.

I used to swing between Pantene and Dove constantly for the last 15 years. My hair is very thick and down to my waist, so I needed the extra conditioning and shine that Pantene provided. They seemed recently to change their formula and it became more watery, so I started looking elsewhere and I found a different brand that works like Pantene used to. If they've improved their formula, I am happy to try it to see if its as good as it used to be.

Used to love it - one of the better supermarket brands.

I used to use Pantene a while ago now. I stopped using it as there were cheaper options available

I preferred Pantene up until around two or three years back when other, perhaps better-marketed, products made themselves known. I wonder if Pantene's promise of no more bad hair days rings true! Would love to put their product to the test, certainly Pantene had a great reputation so perhaps it has maintained that.

I've been using it on and off for years, but it has been a few months since I last picked it up. I like to change it up periodically and try out different things. I'd be keen to give the new formula a go.

I used Pantene regularly in the past but purchased Matrix conditioner from the salon that cuts my hair and have continued to use it probably because it is convenient to purchase when you are in the salon - you don't forget. I did find that Pantene was great for dry or uncontrollable hair though - used to a small amount on when hair was dry.

I used to always use pantene when I had bleached blonde hair as a teen and then on and off through my twenties. I haven't used it for a little while now but I do think it's a good shampoo and conditioner.

I have used Pantene in the past.. I've found its one of the better supermarket brought brands of shampoo and conditioner. Would love to try this!

I used to use Pantene, although my hair used to look beautiful, I had to change to something else as Pantene would leave a build up on my scalp and hair after a week or so. Would give it a go again if they have a better formula :-)

I used to use Pantene a few years ago, but stopped because it was too expensive and not giving me any results. I found some other shampoos that worked better, but would be interested in trying them out again. I'll have to have a look next time I'm in the supermarket!

I have tried using Pantene in the past and to start with it was great but found that by half way through my hair seemed to get oilier and lost its volume, have tried using the various kinds of Pantene Shampoo and conditioner so in the end I gave up.

I used to use Pantene but I changed and haven't used it for years.

I've used Pantene before but it's definitely not a product for my hair, will be interesting to read what other ladies think of this new formula :)
