Peas and carrots.  Dolly and Kenny.  Mickey and Minnie.  Good things come in pairs.  And in your bathroom, the most likely pairing is your shampoo and conditioner.

It's a rarity nowadays to find a shampoo without a complimenting conditioner - whatever the brand and however many ranges or varieties of shampoos there are, sitting next to it on the store shelf will be it's other half, the perfect match.

Last year we asked members if they stayed loyal to the brand when choosing shampoo and conditioners - and 71% said yes.  They will actively look for and buy shampoos and conditioners from the same brand.

I'm one of these people. I wash my hair every 2 days, using my 'regular' perfectly matching shampoo and conditioner (brand/range/variety).  About once a fortnight I use my intensive conditioner, but quelle horreur - it's a different brand to my regular products.  Call me particular or OCD but my shampoo must match my conditioner, so I also buy the shampoo to exactly match my intensive conditioner!

I'm also one of those people that absolutely must condition my hair whenever I wash it.  There is no such thing as a 'quick hairwash' for this gal!  Once, when rinsing my shampoo out, the water ran cold.  I still conditioned and rinsed - yes I would rather face a freezing cold shower than have unconditioned hair.

Well we're looking for 12 people to put a perfectly matching shampoo and conditioner to the test.  Schwarzkopf Extra Care Moisture Gloss Shampoo and Conditioner. This pairing uses innovative shine-sealing lamination technology, covering the hair like a net to provide an overall shine effect.  It applies a smooth and highly reflective film on the hair which reduces UV damage and dramatically enhances shine while locking in moisture for deep repair.

Sounds pretty good to us!  So if you fancy a spot on this trial team, why not tell us about your conditioning habits - do you condition every time you shampoo your hair?  Or do you only do it every so often, maybe as a weekly treatment?

Get chatting below and you might find yourself picked for this great trial opportunity!

my hair is 175% unmanageable if i dont condition every time i wash!

1st July, 2014

I have no choice as its impossible to brush and looks dry and dull if I don't. There are times when I will condition without shampooing though!

I always use a conditioner after I wash my hair otherwise it feels dry and goes all fuzzy. Need to probably use a better shampoo than the one I am using now.

Shampoo and condition every second day. Unfortunately even doing that my hair can look dry. I colour my hair, and am yet to find a ptoduct that gives me really good softness and shine!

Without a doubt! To me shampooing without conditioning would be like cleansing without moisturising - a big nono for my skin! As for brand loyalty - I do tend to buy matching 'sets' now a days, however I take it an extra step as due to having a sensitive scalp I still use a specialised shampoo for that - then do a second shampoo with my matching one before conditioning. I see it as ensuring my hair gets all the elements it needs!

I condition before I shampoo now. But there's only one case where I don't use a conditioner and that's the day I have coconut oil in my hair all day. I don't condition after I shampoo although I have on occasion. I would worry about the build up I would get from using this product but I think it would perfect for someone with color treated hair so I'm happy to read the reviews on this and let some other lovely member use this.

Yes always! If I don't use conditioner my hair feels all stringy and knotty.

25th June, 2014

Oh always! My hair goes very straw-like, brittle and snaps! Not to mention how hard it is to put a comb through if unconditioned! My daughters also have conditioner put through their unruly curly hair too!

25th June, 2014

I always condition because my hair is oily at the roots and drier at the ends and needs washing every day or two and the ends would be sooooo dry if I didn't.

25th June, 2014

I always condition, but sometimes I will use a leave-in conditioner rather than a rinse out one.

24th June, 2014

Its a must for me! My hair looks horrid without conditioner lol

24th June, 2014

I absolutely must condition my hair EVERY time I wash my hair with shampoo. I feel they just go hand in hand together and compliment each other. I heard that shampoo and conditioner are not the same, which is why they a different products and therefore should both be used separately. Shampoo opens the hair follicle and conditioner closes it I think, or something like that (someone correct me if I'm wrong). Shampoo helps clean your hair while conditioner restores your hairs moisture and strength. Plus, it just feels weird when you don't use conditioner afterwards, like only wearing one shoe. My hair just feels chalky when I don't use conditioner.

I could get away with not conditioning my hair as far as frizz or tangles go my hair is pretty fine and straight... but as far as feel, then I prefer to condition it. I have bleached out ends and they are really badly damaged so I wouldn't go without at the moment... nu uh, nope! lol

24th June, 2014

I wash my hair every second day and definitely use conditioner everytime - otherwise its is very dry and knotty. I find the best shampoo is L'Oreal pink bottles - but would love to find something cheaper to use that would do the same job

24th June, 2014

Yes definitely! Otherwise my hair feels like straw! I have to wash and condition every day or my hair is greasy and nasty! And I have to have matching shampoo and conditioner too, otherwise it seems pointless if they aren't working to do the same thing (ie push up volume, damage repair etc) maybe that's hit silly but that's the way I see it haha
