So we're back with another trial team from the cult brand CeraVe!  This time we're looking for reviewers to form a trial team reviewing two products; both products are suitable for skin with Ketatosis Pilaris and Eczema - two conditions that can be at the least; annoying, and at the most, painful and frustrating to live with.

Keratosis Pilaris is a common and harmless skin condition where small bumps are present, mostly on the arms, bottom, back, thighs and sometimes the face. The bumps can blend into the skin, or may be red, pink or brown and some people find KP itchy.  The bumps are caused by an excess production of keratin, which gets trapped in the hair follicle.  It's most common in children and teens, with women more likely to experience it than men.

Eczema is a common skin condition, of red, itchy and/or dry skin.  Eczema can be quite mild, or very servere - impacting daily life in some cases.  The causes of Eczema can be complex, the most easy to identify are irritants such a soaps, wool, heat or sweating.  Allergens such as pollen and foods can also cause a flare up.  Emotional stress is another eczema trigger.

Eczema commonly begins on the face, hands and feet, but it can spread to the whole body.  Eczema can be identified by itching, redness, tiny fluid filled blisters, dry, pale patches of skin and areas of leathery, thick skin.

One key factor in both soothing and preventing eczema flare ups is moisturising.

This trial team will be reviewing the Smoothing SA Cleanser and the Smoothing SA Moisturising Cream.  Both products work together to exfoliate, soften and smooth dry, rough, bumpy feeling skin without disrupting the protective skin barrier.

I'm in my 30s now and still struggle with acne and have had KP on my upper arms for as long as I can remember, it stops me wearing anything sleeveless and I have a habit of picking at them and making them scar. I'd love to find something that will help me with not only my facial skin but to get rid or lessen the KP and allow me to wear more things in summer than a boring old tshirt!

I have eczema for many years in various places and to be able to find a product to help would be amazing

Yes! Would you believe I’m a double whammy and suffer from both. (Also psoriasis when I don’t look after my skin) I tend to have to exfoliate often to keep the dry skin off which can be a little irritating but needs to be done. Having the option of a wash and moisturiser specifically for those problems sounds great. I tend to stick with 1 wash in particular as others can be too drying. Love products with ceramides in them and urea has been great for treating some rough skin patches I’ve developed in the past. Would love to trial them and interested to see how others find them too. I quite enjoy chatting to those with similar skin issues and seeing what works for them and try them out myself

I have really bad keratosis pilaris on both my arms and legs, always looks like I’ve got goosebumps from afar. Haven’t found anything in particular that has helped apart from exfoliating regularly

I get KP on my arms and thighs and also get a bit of eczema on my hands, so keen to try this. I’ve heard great things about it so great that we can now get it in New Zealand.

I’ve had kp on my arms since I was in primary school. I remember going to the doctor for it when I was younger but they didn’t really know what it was and would say to use baby oil (nobody really wants slimy greasy arms), which didn’t work either. I found that using a exfoliating mit helps a bit but I’m very interested to see how this product works as I’ve don’t use anything for it at the moment

I get Keratosis Pilaris quite bad, much worse in the winter! Haven't found much that helps it.

Ooh, I'd love to try these. I've always had ezcema. I used to get it really badly on my cheeks (making for multitudes of woeful childhood photos), but as an adult I get it on my legs. It's not as painful or severe as it used to be, but it still ain't pretty and it can be horribly itchy and stingy. I've used a lot of creams in my time, recommended by my dermatologist, and they might help a little, but they don't solve the problem. They certainly don't feel calming or healing when they're applied, and usually actually sting. Plus, they're so thick and fatty, they're really unpleasant to use. I generally resort to calamine to help relieve the itching, but that dries out my skin and so exacerbates everything in the long run.

I’ve had KP on my arms since I was in High School - and it’s still there 15 years later! I thought it was supposed to get better as you got older :( I have recently started trying the first aid beauty KP scrub and moisturiser which has been working alright, but hasn’t completely cleared it up. It’s still obvious to me at least. Would love to try this product.

My hands have been covered in eczema since covid started. I'm in a job I have to use sanitizer. Nothing and I mean not even the strongest steroid cream is getting rid of it completely. I'm desperate to try anything that could help. Please please select me for this trial. Sick of my hands being itchy and on fire. Not to mention how terrible they look!
