So we're back with another trial team from the cult brand CeraVe!  This time we're looking for reviewers to form a trial team reviewing two products; both products are suitable for skin with Ketatosis Pilaris and Eczema - two conditions that can be at the least; annoying, and at the most, painful and frustrating to live with.

Keratosis Pilaris is a common and harmless skin condition where small bumps are present, mostly on the arms, bottom, back, thighs and sometimes the face. The bumps can blend into the skin, or may be red, pink or brown and some people find KP itchy.  The bumps are caused by an excess production of keratin, which gets trapped in the hair follicle.  It's most common in children and teens, with women more likely to experience it than men.

Eczema is a common skin condition, of red, itchy and/or dry skin.  Eczema can be quite mild, or very servere - impacting daily life in some cases.  The causes of Eczema can be complex, the most easy to identify are irritants such a soaps, wool, heat or sweating.  Allergens such as pollen and foods can also cause a flare up.  Emotional stress is another eczema trigger.

Eczema commonly begins on the face, hands and feet, but it can spread to the whole body.  Eczema can be identified by itching, redness, tiny fluid filled blisters, dry, pale patches of skin and areas of leathery, thick skin.

One key factor in both soothing and preventing eczema flare ups is moisturising.

This trial team will be reviewing the Smoothing SA Cleanser and the Smoothing SA Moisturising Cream.  Both products work together to exfoliate, soften and smooth dry, rough, bumpy feeling skin without disrupting the protective skin barrier.

If you'd like to review these products for us, comment below and tell us why!  Do you suffer from Keratosis Pilaris or eczema?  Have you found products that work for your skin yet?

I have a lot of Keratosis Pilaris that id love gone. Id love to try something that will at least reduce it

I developed Keratosis Pilaris in my teens, once I was diagnosed coeliac it reduced. However I now have scarring and the occasional outbreak. My oldest son now has Keratosis Pilaris on his arms and back so I'd actually have 2 in the household that would use this. His is worse and you never see him in short sleeved tops because of it.

I also get a bit of eczema but this is more self inflicted when I eat dairy.

Ok I had no idea that it was called keratosis Pilaris until now! I’ve had this on my arms my whole life and never found anything that helps! I’d love to try this and see if it works for me

My skin is sensitive to SLS and alot of heavily fragranced products. I suffer from eczema regularly and more frequently with changes in season. It requires moisturising daily, head to foot and becomes dry, scaley and ashy if i dont. I would love to give CeraVe a go :)

I struggle with eczema in winter and so does my young son. We have yet to discover a cream to help sooth the itch!

Erm until very recently I never realised the horrible red bumps on my arms, legs and butt were a thing with a name! I’ve had the bumps for as long as I can remember and nothing has helped to date. I’ve tried exfoliating to the point of pinkness and drenching myself in moisturiser but no result. I’d love to try this product, I’ve seen rave reviews of it from the USA and if it works I’d be a slave to this product. Would be awesome to try.

I struggle with KP and Eczema - I've used a fair few salicylic acid products and often find they're super expensive or not really suited for sensitive skin. I've heard great things about CeraVe though, they've been on my list to try for a while!

Well I never knew there was a name for it but yes another KP sufferer here! Amazing is this actually helps it cause nothing else does

Yes please! I have eczema on my face, hands, arms and on occasions my legs. It always starts around my eyes before spreading to the tops of my hands and it's a constant battle between balancing creams/makeup/cleaners etc and eczema. Items people use without thinking - eg shampoo and hand sanitizer (great in a pandemic!) set me off. I'd love to trial this to see if it provides some relief, or even better - a break from eczema!

I have eczema, I thought it was seasonal buy it seems to come and go as it please. I get eczema in all the normal places, inner elbow, behind the knees, on the tops of my knees, my legs and arms as well as in and around my ears

My eczema flares up on my hands and spots where my skin is particularly dry on my elbows. Also notice it occurs more in hotter days on my neck and under arms.

I get K.P on my legs and my son gets eczema behind his knees I would love to give this a go

I have noticed KP on my upper arms mainly but it's never itchy or so bad that I have to hide it so I would probably sit this one out however I am interested in the trial results in case it does become worse over time.

Is THAT what those bumps are! Honestly, the things I am learning through being a member lol! Yes I get those weird little bumps on my arms and upper legs, just a few, consistently throughout the year. Had mentioned it to the doc, and had him check a couple (larger ones) and he'd said that they were blocked hair follicles I think, but just said they'd go away, which they do, very slowly, over time. I would be thrilled to try this product, and see if it helps them either not appear or go away fast when they do. I get larger ones around my upper inner thighs, they can get sore sometimes too. Great to see a product that could help. Also my daughter gets ezcema, less than she used to, but still sometimes, so I could try it on that too, she often has some small areas. Also, my husband gets irritated dry areas on his skin (lower legs mostly) which I think this could be perfect for too. They turn into quite an irritation. I trialled the other lovely light CeraVe moisturiser and my husband and I both LOVE it. So it will be great if these are as good! I honestly probably wouldn't buy it myself as wouldn't really know what it was without this site, and I wouldn't be sure if it would really work, not even sure I would have realised the bumps I get are what it treats without the blurb about it on here. If it works I will be raving about it! My mum gets the same annoying bumps in the same place I do, so it must actually be fairly common. Definitely love to be a tester of these products.
