When we ran our blog competition we strengthened our view that Beauty Review is something that New Zealand women want - a site with beauty reviews and information relevant to us Kiwis.  We don't need to rely on our friends across the ditch, or even across the Pacific to keep us up to date and to tell us the must haves.  New Zealand has its own beauty consumers, beauty experts and beauty addicts.  And we're so proud to provide a place for them to share their voice.

Our Best Beauty Blog competition proved that New Zealand has real talent in our beauty community and now it's time to take the next step.  We're going to recruit a Video Review team for our site and our YouTube channel.  And of course this means we'll have to send our chosen BR VRs (see what we did there?!) some products to talk about!

Entering is easy peasy: 

1.  Simply film yourself reviewing your favourite product.

2.  Upload it to Youtube.  Begin your title with "The BR Factor...."

3.  Drop us a line and link us to your video.

Each entrant will earn 50 Beauty Review points. 

Here's some tips:

1. Show us your personality!  Talk to us like you were chatting to your best friend.  (Maybe we're not your best friend but surely we make the top 5 right?!)

2.  Earn bonus points for making us smile.  Earn double points for making us laugh.

3.  Check your lighting and sound - we don't want to be straining to see and hear you, it gives us frown lines.

4.  Check what's behind you and in shot.  Unless you want the world seeing your "I'm a Belieber" poster and mounting laundry pile.

5.  Know the details about the product before you start!

6.  Plan what you're going to say but don't script it!

7.  Don't be nervous - it's not a live feed, you have the power to stop and start again, so relax!!

And here's the rules:

1.  Entrants must be residing in NZ

2.  Entrants must be at least 18 years old

3.  Video clips must be under 2 minutes in length

4.  Entries must be in by January 6th 2014

5.  No swearing or offensive content will be tolerated

6.  Entrants must not be affiliated with the product they are reviewing

7.  The selection process and the number of determined 'winners' is at the descretion of the Beauty Crew

8.  Videos must meet YouTube's submission criteria.
