There are two types of people in this life. Those that want to be the first to try, and those that want to wait and read reviews first. The first type is outside the Apple store 3 days before the latest iPhone is released. The second kind wait until the reviews are in.
We're sure we have both types of people here at BR - but what kind do we have more of?
We're putting the latest Moisture Mist formulation - the Gentle Cleansing Oil to the test - BEFORE it's official release on July 17th!
If you're new to oil cleansers the concept can be a bit odd. Those that have already discovered, and fallen in love with cleansing oils, will no doubt think of them as the superhero of facial cleansers. They not only cleanse the skin, they do what many other gentle cleansers can't - they thoroughly remove make up. You might be wondering how on earth slathering oil on your face can clean it right? We know it seems backwards but read on!
Your skin is always producing and secreting sebum, even when it feels dry and flaky it's still producing natural oils. If your cleanser is too harsh, it will not only clean your face, but strip it of natural oils - your skin then thinks it's not making enough and begins to overproduce oil. Now if you have oily or acne prone skin you're probably thinking the last thing you would want to do is add more oil. This is where a little scientific premise comes in. Like dissolves like. So when you use a cleansing oil, the oils in the product dissolve and remove all the built up dirty oil and replace it with fresh, nourishing oil.
How do you clean with oil? Simple, you dispense 2-3 pumps onto the palms of dry hands and gently massage over your dry face, You then wet your face to emulsify the cleansing oil and rinse thoroughly with water.
The Moisture Mist Gentle Cleansing Oil gently removes all makeup and deep impurities from your skin. It leaves your skin feeling fresh, clean and smooth and is fragrance and colour free, so perfect for those with sensitive skin.
So tell us - new products, are you the first to try or do you usually wait for reviews? When purchasing staple products, like cleansers, do you always head towards your tried and true products, scared to spend on something new in case you don't like it? Or, are you like a moth to a flame with even just tiniest bit of newness, new packaging or a newly formatted products for example?
Most importantly - why do you want to put the Moisture Mist Gentle Cleansing Oil to the test?
I usually like to read other peoples reviews and comments before I try something new but the idea of a cleansing oil really appeals to me. I regularly use essential oils and natural carrier oils on my face and body so I would love to try this product.
