Do you like to be the first to try a product?

There are two types of people in this life.  Those that want to be the first to try, and those that want to wait and read reviews first.  The first type is outside the Apple store 3 days before the latest iPhone is released.  The second kind wait until the reviews are in.

We're sure we have both types of people here at BR - but what kind do we have more of?

We're putting the latest Moisture Mist formulation - the Gentle Cleansing Oil to the test - BEFORE it's official release on July 17th!

If you're new to oil cleansers the concept can be a bit odd.  Those that have already discovered, and fallen in love with cleansing oils, will no doubt think of them as the superhero of facial cleansers.  They not only cleanse the skin, they do what many other gentle cleansers can't - they thoroughly remove make up.  You might be wondering how on earth slathering oil on your face can clean it right?  We know it seems backwards but read on!

Your skin is always producing and secreting sebum, even when it feels dry and flaky it's still producing natural oils.  If your cleanser is too harsh, it will not only clean your face, but strip it of natural oils - your skin then thinks it's not making enough and begins to overproduce oil.  Now if you have oily or acne prone skin you're probably thinking the last thing you would want to do is add more oil.  This is where a little scientific premise comes in.  Like dissolves like.  So when you use a cleansing oil, the oils in the product dissolve and remove all the built up dirty oil and replace it with fresh, nourishing oil.

How do you clean with oil?  Simple, you dispense 2-3 pumps onto the palms of dry hands and gently massage over your dry face,  You then wet your face to emulsify the cleansing oil and rinse thoroughly with water.

The Moisture Mist Gentle Cleansing Oil gently removes all makeup and deep impurities from your skin.  It leaves your skin feeling fresh, clean and smooth and is fragrance and colour free, so perfect for those with sensitive skin.

So tell us - new products, are you the first to try or do you usually wait for reviews?  When purchasing staple products, like cleansers, do you always head towards your tried and true products, scared to spend on something new in case you don't like it?  Or, are you like a moth to a flame with even just tiniest bit of newness, new packaging or a newly formatted products for example?

Most importantly - why do you want to put the Moisture Mist Gentle Cleansing Oil to the test?

I usually like to read other peoples reviews and comments before I try something new but the idea of a cleansing oil really appeals to me. I regularly use essential oils and natural carrier oils on my face and body so I would love to try this product.

I like to be daring enough to! But then again I do like ready reviews. Moisture Mist cleansing oil is great.

I use oil for moisturising in the evening but have not tried is as a cleanser. This would be a great opportunity to see if my skin breaks out or is comfortable with an oil product as well as moisturiser. I have combination skin, aged 41, and my skin can be somewhat sensitive at times. Thanks!

I would love to try this!! I have been using make up remover oil and love how it makes my skin feel, so I can only imagine how amazing this would be!! Can't wait to try something like this!

I love trying and testing out products for myself even after reading reviews since everyones skin type is never the exact same. Cleansing oils are relatively new to my skincare routine and I'm currently using Senka perfect oil which is also another Shiseido brand so it'll be interesting to see how this works out and compares!

A Cleansing Oil? Sounds intriguing. I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE trying new products and talking about them. I like being ahead of the game when it comes to beauty products!

I love to try new products that sound exciting or something a bit different from the norm. If ti is something that I have tried before or something similar that I wasn't a huge fan of I prefer to wait for reviews to see how it worked for others. I am a sucker for packaging and anything eye catching - I tend to stick to my normal brands for skincare but really would like to try some new ones. I have never used a cleansing oil before but this does sound exciting!

I would love to trial a facial oil particularly if it emulsifies with water to finish my cleanse. Oil seems to be the way to go now and I am always on the lookout for a product that provides hydration.

I love using oil cleansers as they really do dissolve any traces of makeup and leave my skin feeling nice and not dry afterwards. I'd like to compare this oil to the one I am currently using.

I quite like oil cleansers. Ive used coconut oil over the years but more recently I've been using DB-Designer Brands one and find it quick and easy. Would love to trial this one!

I have never ever tried a cleansing oil before and I am curious to how well they work.I do suffer with sensitive skin so have to be careful about what products I use on my face and body.As this cleanser is fragrance and colour free I would love to give it a go.

I have had great results from ZA cleansing oil and I would be very interested in trying another . It would be great to compare 2 different oil cleansers. I have used Moisture Mist products in the past and the results have been very pleasing.

Oooh would love to try this! I have recently gotten the oil bug! I have sensitive skin with some sensitive scarring so I have found oil based products don't strip my dry skin of any necessary oils and keep my skin nice and calm. I have only ever tried the Lipidol brand of oil cleansers; would love to see if this is better!

looks so cool! haven't tried this brand yet but have heard good things! would love to try it!
