They say the right tool can make any job easier, more effective and more efficient - this is especially true of makeup brushes! The right makeup brush can make a difficult product a dream to apply. It can blend colours and shades seamlessly and it can truly make a difference to the overall look you're creating.
And yet we seem to be very reluctant to part with our cash when it comes to makeup brushes. We think nothing of paying for a lipstick, but don't see the point of parting with our cash to buy a brush that will give us even application and a perfect finish. We'll spend money on an eyeshadow palette, yet hate the thought of paying for a brush that will help those colours blend and sit exactly how and where we want them to.
One of the most essential brushes in your kit is the foundation brush. Whether you regularly wear foundation, or maybe only wear it a couple of times a week, it's worth investing in a top quality brush. A good brush will last you for years and prove more economical than wedges and sponges simply because a brush won't absorb the product and will allow you to achieve the thinnest layer of foundation. They're also great for blending in those tricky areas, like the hair line.
We're putting the Artiste Airbrush Blurring Foundation Brush to the test. The thick, soft, densely packed brush head picks up just the right amount of foundation for an even, airbrushed finish. You can quickly and fully cover your entire face with a few strokes of this luxurious brush!
We're looking for 25 foundation wearers to put this $45 brush to the test. Does it sound like something you'd like to try? Then get chatting to us about brushes.
When it comes to makeup brushes do you opt for high end, or are you more of a budget buyer? Do you tar all brushes with, erm, the same brush - simple things that transfer product from pot to skin, with little to separate the great from the average? Do you think there's really that much difference between brands? Do you currently use a foundation brush? How do you find it? If you don't use a foundation brush, what are you currently using to apply your foundation? Why do you want to move from that?
I use a stippling brush but would love to try this!
