It's Monday.  Which means most of us probably had our most restless sleep of the week last night.  Sad times.

This week Beauty Review is looking at what happens while you're sleeping.  And we're going to start with Night Creams.

Throughout the day we look after our skin.  We use hand creams and lip balms, we drink oodles of water (or we try to), we apply sunscreen (or we should do).  Many of us concur there are not enough hours in the day, so why on earth do many of us pass up the chance to utilise our sleeping hours to do some beauty good?

Night creams are designed to intensively moisturise and boost the reparation your skin goes through over night.  They omit unnecessary nighttime ingredients like SPF and use ingredients whose effects are negatively impacted by the sun's UV rays.  Check out Night Creams - What They Can Do For You to find out how amazing these creams can be!

We're going to be putting Neutrogena Naturals Multivitamin Night Cream to the test.  This cream is packed full of vitamins B, C, E and anti-oxidant omega bionutrients to moisturise your skin and 'boost your skin’s defense against dullness and roughness, leaving it naturally radiant, healthier and younger'.  Not bad when all you have to do is apply it and go to sleep!

Do you use a night cream?  What age did you start using one and what benefits have you noticed?  If you don't use one, why not?  Do you not feel the need, or have you always put them down to a marketing ploy?

I normally use Nivea Q10, I find I really need it at this time of the year. My skin suffers with the air con at work then going out into the cold wind.

No, I dont use one either.... never really knew what to look for and I thought I didnt need one?? As the years have gone on I have definitely started to wonder if Ishould be looking in to it? Im in a bit of denial, to me it feels like thats just cinfirming you are getting old......is it??

I used to use night creams religiously but have more recently stopped. My skin has gotten oilier as I got older and I thought some creams were too heavy.

if i had the money to buy a really good night cream i would...i have used night cream years ago when there weren't so many options but these days its hard to know what exactly i want from my night cream...moisture?...re-texturing?...anti-ageing?...etc??

I've never used a night cream as I don't think it would do much good. But after reading this article I'm interested in trying one to see if it makes a difference to my dull skin.

Nope but I should be! I am only in my late twenties but having -extremely- dry skin I should really be doing as much as possible to hydrate my skin overnight. While my intense moisturiser is good it's not quite enough to cure my flaky skin woes. I get terrible dry patches around my eyes so probably need an eye cream too. I have never tried Neutrogena so would love to see if this works for me!

I always use night cream. I look for something restoring for my skin and a little bit heavier than my day cream, currently I've been using the Za Perfect Solution Collagen Cream, which I'm loving and really noticed great results. Basically my night cream is an everyday treat for my skin.

I dont use a nightcream because i find half ends up on my pillow!

This neutrogena night cream sounds amazing, I've used night creams for years but haven't found one that I've loved enough to become my stable one. I'd love one that did all the hard work while I slept lol, removing puffy morning eyes would be ideal lol

I don't use a night cream. I just use my normal everyday moisturizer after I take my makeup off at night. I never really knew anything about them, but thanks to this article i'm more clued up now. I will be looking into getting one :)

I've never used a dedicated night cream. I tend to reapply my day creams before bed though because it feels so lovely to have soft skin! I would love the chance to try out this product!

26th May, 2014

Yes I tend to use a night cream. I don't like using a cream with SPF at night and sometimes I feel like my skin needs something a bit heavier at night. I only started using a night cream in my late 20's when my skin started to show signs of ageing.

I actually don't use a night cream at all! I don't use one because I find I don't need one, as I have combination oily skin and so I think my skin produces enough oil over nth anyway. When my skin is sometimes more dry I just put on normal moisturiser at night, which I later found out was not good as its my daytime moisturiser which has SPF! I also find that because I have sensitive skin,I find it really hard to find suit ale products my skin likes, which is why I tend to out nothing on my face a night. But since reading the art file on night creams and learning about the benefits it has I might try one for young skin, or a light oil. This Neutrogena cream sounds really good as it contains lots of vitamins and antioxidants to boost your skin over night.

I don't but I know I should. A woman in a pharmacy once told me I had the skin of an 80 year old woman (at the age of 20!) because I really struggle with dry skin.

20th May, 2014

I've never used a night cream purely because I don't know what to look for or which brands would be better suited for me. I'm definitely interested in giving it a go though, so it'd be awesome to get some more inshight on how to go about finding the right one etc if I don't get chosen to do this review x
