The key to healthy skin that ages gracefully is to look after and protect your skin, as soon as you start a skin care routine.
A proper daily skin care routine consists of cleansing, toning and moisturising. And if you're especially dedicated you might even use a serum to target key concerns. But what about protection from the harmful rays of the sun? Is that in your daily routine?
Now we know all of the excuses for not using sunscreen - it's greasy, it leaves your makeup looking less than perfect, it smells funny. But...there is simply no excuse good enough to face the New Zealand sun unprotected - whether it be in the height of Summer or on a bright, crisp Winter's day like we've been having of late! Oh and not only is the sun dangerous as in, you know, skin cancer; its daily UV rays are responsible for 80% of ageing signs formation!
And even better - there are amazing products out there containing good levels of SPF, meaning you don't even need to add an extra step into your skin care routine!
We're going to be putting the L'Oreal Wrinkle Expert Anti-Wrinkle Intensive Cream 45+ SPF20 to the test.
L'Oréal Paris has created the Wrinkle Expert range to address the anti-wrinkle needs of the skin at every age, with special formulations. After the age of 45, wrinkles and age spots become more visible as the skin starts to lose firmness. L'Oreal Wrinkle Expert Anti-Wrinkle Intensive Cream 45+ SPF 20 visibly corrects these ageing signs.
It promises:
- Skin is smoother, wrinkles appear reduced and fine lines are less visible.
- Skin looks younger.
- Week after week, skin feels firmer and more elastic.
- Week after week age spots appear reduced and less visible.
- Skin is protected from further appearance of sun induced dark spots.
We think it sounds amazing, but of course, it's not us doing the reviewing - it's you!
I use spf sunblock every day over my serum and day cream to protect my face from the sun. I do find that my face powder then doesn’t go on as well as it would normally but I’m quite use to it now. That’s how dedicated I am to using spf on my face summer and winter when the sky is clear. I would like to see how this product would work under my face powder. It would be nice not to be so shiny.
