***THIS TRIAL OPPORTUNITY IS NOW CLOSED***

We've spoken before about how the right fragrance can shape your mood - but can a lipstick do the same?

Those clever Vegetarian sausages at Lush think so!  They've created a cosmetic range called Emotional Brilliance that matches your psychological needs with the colours you should be wearing.  Forget what colours the magazines or catwalk say you should be wearing, forget the words en-trend,in fashion or current - and wear something that's designed for your needs.

Emotional Brilliance works by pairing a colour to the word that reflects the mood you want to embody.  You wear them to get that point across. It’s the power of suggestion –believe in it and you will then start to behave in a certain way.

Well we couldn't resist the chance to try something that's just a little bit out-there and so we've teamed up with our friends at Lush to bring you this brilliant trial opportunity.

We're putting Emotional Brilliance Drive to the test.  This liquid lipstick has a super softening base, which is a simple blend of organic jojoba oil, candelilla wax and rose wax.  These three ingredients are intensely skin softening and soofthing and hold the pigment incredibly well.

If you'd like to put Drive to the test why not tell us your thoughts on how colours affect mood - do you believe in the power of Emotional Brilliance?  Where would you take Drive out for a spin?

Get chatting below, we might just pick you!

I think that lipstick is my go to pick me up. The colour can dictate how I am feeling or it can help be the reason I am feeling a bit more confident (sometimes we all need a secret weapon and a few of my colours are just that!) xx

With me it's the other way around. Depending of my mood it will be the colour of my lipstick or none at all. Maybe I am a bit weird.

I'm a lush fiend but I still haven't got round to trying their makeup range yet. Would love to take this for a test run as I've been looking for the perfect purple lippy for ages and Mac's up the amp/heroine just aren't cutting it.

Drive is such a stunning colour! I would love to take it out for a spin :) The colour lippy I am wearing really reflects how am I feeling and purple is such a bubbly happy colour! I need this in my life <3

Absolutely! I do not face the outside world without lipstick!! I usually choose neutrals but have recently dared to wear a bit of Fuschia I think this would be a natural progression!! I am an eighties child so this would also help me to relive my misspent youth!!! ;)

I think it works both ways, sometimes lipstick changes my mood other times i choose the lipstick because of my mood!! Would love to try drive out!!

Yes it does. The brighter the colour the better my mood and confidence

Ooh yes! Amazing how a nice lippy can leave you feeling sexy and confident! Always have multiple colours floating around in my handbag for different occasions ;)

Yes, I think they do. You wanna feel sexy? Wear a red. Want to feel daring? Wear a deep lip. Want to feel super girly and feminine? Wear a nice light pink! Want to stand out? Bright. Want to be chill? A nude.

So many options with so many influences!

Beautifully coloured lips always make me feel like I could take over the world! So my lipstick definitely influences my mood! I do like a nice classic colour for a job interview.... but depending on what type of job it was, and how I wanted to portray myself a funky colour is always an option.

I strongly agree that colour influences mood, but I can't see my own lip colour! true that if everything matches and you feel like you look good, then you'll be feeling good :)

19th January, 2015

I choose my lippy colour and gloss combinations depending on how I feel or wish to feel. That Lush colour is blimmen gorgeous and oh, to have those pouty lips the model has.

19th January, 2015

Yes ! i love my nudes and pinks .. i dont seem to have a purple in my collection yet apart from a maybelline colour whisper in oh la lilac and if im honest its not bright at all , i think i may just need to get my hands on this <3 who doesn't love lush!!!!

I couldn't really vote for this as I don't own lippys but Surley your mood doesn't influence the color you wear or doeesss it?

19th January, 2015

I cant go without strong coloured lips. Truly empowering and definitely gives me confidence.
