It's not often we talk about the menfolk here at BR. I mean they're central in our everyday lives, but when it comes to beauty products our interests lie in the women's beauty section.
But it's Father's Day on Sunday, and if ever there was a day to spoil and thank the men in our lives, this is it. It might be your Dad, Pops or Grandpa or the father of your children. It might be a father figure in yours or your children's lives - an uncle, a brother or a friend. Whoever the dad is you'd like to spoil, we've got some gift ideas for you.
Male Grooming. (Because men don't have beauty products)
1. L'Oreal Men Expert Skin Care Range.
L'Oreal's skin care range for men, Men Expert has different formulas to suit the needs of men.
Whether your Dad needs anti-ageing, sensitive or products for tired skin, the Men Expert range has him covered; from cleansing, shaving to moisturising.
Oh and Ryan Reynolds is the spokesman, which whilst not a selling point for the menfolk pretty much has us on board.
2. Issey Miyake Nuit d'Issey.
It's always hard to choose a fragrance for someone that's not you, but here's the best thing about men's fragrances - they pretty much don't care what it smells like as long as it doesn't smell like flowers or girly things.
L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme has always been one of my favourite fragrances for men, but I find Nuit d'Issey to be perfect for the slightly more rugged, outdoorsy man.
It's a woody, spicy scent, with leather backbone and top notes of citruses.
3. Soft Goat Scruff and Stubble Softener.
If the Dad in your life is a beardy weirdy (Hey Husband!) then this is the perfect product to prevent stubble rash when you or the kiddies are giving Dad a much deserved cuddle.
The Soft Goat is a hypoallergenic pad that dulls the sharp edges trimming and shaving leaves behind.
So the big softie in your life can truly be soft!
4. Beard Oil & Cowboy Comb Gift Set.
Ladies, allow me to let you in on a secret. Manliness is found in one's beard. Once you make peace with this, you can begin to look for ways to make living with the beard more bearable.
Now we all know the secret to great hair is too look after it, to nourish it and to keep it tangle free. This knowledge is lost on men for some reason.
So enlighten the beard owner in your life this father's day with this very manly hair treatment.
At the end of the day a kempt beard is preferable to an unkempt beard.
For when beauty products aren't going to cut it. (A.K.A Gifts I've bought for this Sunday)
5. Dad Car Play Mat and Massage T Shirt
Every Sunday morning I get a lie in and The Husband aka Daaaa gets up with Milky Chops.
And every Sunday without fail, Milky Chops wakes up refreshed and awake an hour earlier than usual, meaning Daaaa has to get up at the ungodly hour of 4am. (For some reason it makes my lie in even more satisfying. Sssshhh)
Which is why I decided this would be the perfect gift for him - he loves a cool t shirt, he can pretty much nap any where and Milky Chops can stay entertained. Win-win-win.
6. Darth Vadar and Son.
What if Darth Vader took an active role in raising his son? What if “Luke, I am your father” was just a stern admonishment from an annoyed dad?
That's the premise of the gorgeous, not-too-sentimental-but-endearing picture book.
Perfect for the nerdy dad in your life and for letting them know, you know behind the tough-guy exterior is a dad who loves his kid.
7. Bear Paws.
The logic behind these rather scary looking BBQ tools is that these sharp ‘claws’ channel your inner bear, making shredding meat, and gripping large cuts and roasts easy.
Or maybe it's because bears are territorial and BBQs bring out the man pride?
Regardless, buy these for the BBQing dad in your life and if nothing else you can be guaranteed a great Wolverine impression.
Let's be honest, it doesn't really matter what we buy the fathers in our lives, what matters is that we tell them we love them and we're glad to have them in our lives. Whether you treat your Dad this weekend, buy him a card or even just take the time to give him a call, remember to say thank you and tell him you love him!
What are you buying your Dad this year? Would you ever buy your father grooming or beauty products or is he a bit more traditional than that?

Those bear paws look very interesting. I actually thought they were wide toothed combs!
