When you think of soap you probably either think of a heavily scented round in a gift set from your nanna, or an obligatory bar on the side of the sink that never really gets used.
And when you think of using soap on your face or hair you probably shudder at the impending dryness to follow.
But as always, you can't tar all products with the same brush! Our latest trial opportunity is Sabun Olive Oil Soap with Bay Laurel Oil. Sabun is a natural soap with no added perfumes or artificial ingredients. This soap has been made in Syria for centuries and is still made to the same recipe which has been passed down through the generations.
Sabun is gentle on the skin and recommended for people with sensitive skin, eczema and psoriasis. It can even remove makeup! But wait, there's more - you can even use Sabun on the hair! It has proven to be excellent for people with dandruff. It has also been shown to be good to combat nits. The nits find it difficult to lay their eggs in the hair shaft due to the olive oil.
Sabun is different from other soaps as it doesn’t contain any artificial ingredients, harmful chemicals or perfumes. Most commercial soaps are made from animal tallow or fats (sodium tallowate on the label) Animal fats are comedogenic and can block the skins pores. Sabun is not made from any animal fats but just olive and laurel oils - it contains 80% olive oil which serves as a natural humectant for the skin.
We think this soap sounds amazing - but of course, we're not the ones who are going to be doing the testing - you are!
So if you'd like to trial this product, why not tell us what interests you the most about it. Would you use it for your sensitive ezcema prone skin, or are you interested in what it can do with regards to dandruff? Have you used an olive oil soap before or are your soap experiences limited to the regular bathroom bar?
Get chatting below - we might pick you!
I'd love to see what this would do for dandruff, sounds interesting!
