Have you tried solid shampoo before?

Poll posted by BR Natalie

***THIS TRIAL OPPORTUNITY IS NOW CLOSED***

If you read the title to this poll thinking; "Solid shampoo?  How can shampoo be solid?!".  Be prepared to go back to school!

We're putting Sorbet's Sensational Solid shampoos to the test.  And there's a bar for every hair type.  We'll be looking for trialists to put one of these four ranges to the test:

  • Damage Control - The perfect shampoo for mildly dry/damaged hair.
  • Frizz Wrangler - For those of you who abuse your hair with hot irons, curlers, hair dryers or bleach.
  • St Clements - This bar will balance oil production, clean the scalp and freshen your hair up.
  • Heali Kiwi - Great for dandruff sufferers, people with psoriasis or most other scalp problems. Will calm irritated scalps, prevent flakiness and kill the microbes that can cause problems.

Why go solid?

  • They're super concentrated and last much longer than a bottle of shampoo.  Some bars can last up to 6 months!
  • Because they last longer and money doesn't go on fancy packaging, they're cheaper in the long run.
  • The lack of packaging and chemicals makes them very kind to the environment!  All Sorbet ingredients and wrappers are biodegradable.
  • Solid bars don't have much (if any) water, which means they need very few (again, if any) preservatives
  • They contain lots of pure ingredient like coconut oil, cocoa butter, kiwifruit seed oil and essential oils.

How do you use solid shampoos?

  • To use a shampoo bar you just need to slide the bar down wet hair 3-4 times, lather with hands and rinse.  It's that simple!

If you'd like to put your hand up for this trial team why not tell us your experience with solid hair care - have you tried a solid shampoo before?  How did you find it?  And if you haven't tried one before, why do you want to?  And most importantly - which one of the four products we'll be trialing would best fit your hair needs?

I've never heard of Solid Shampoo before! I love the idea that it lasts for months though!!!! Perfect for me and my large family. I would love, love, love the opportunity to trial one. St Clements would be the one for me I think.

Ages ago I tried a juniper one from Lush and it lasted for ages. I'd love to try the Frizz Wrangler from this range and see whether it would be a good alternative to my normal shampoo.

I havnt tried Solid Shampoo/conditioner but I have used solid deodorant and bodywash. I found those really good and would be really happy to try the solid option as well for this. My first choice would be Frizz Wrangler or the 2nd of Damage Control.

Huh?? Solid shampoo?? This seems like a really odd concept but one that I'd be willing to give a go. I have horribly oily hair and every time I think I've found a shampoo that works for me, within a few months I'm on the search for a replacement products as my hair's back to its oily self again! I'm thinking the St Clements bar could be worth a try to see if it keeps my natural oils under control...

I didn't even know there was solid shampoo!! This sounds amazing where can I buy it? I am intrigued by the heali kiwi as recently I have been having issues with an irritated scalp :(. I can't seem to shake it as well.

I've heard of solid shampoo before but never thought it would last very long or be that simple to use. After reading about Sorbet's Sensational Solid shampoo I'm now curious to try it. :) I would probably try Damage Control and Frizz Wrangler and see which shampoo better suits my thirsty and frizzy curls.

I'd love to try St Clements. I've never tried solid shampoo and am just interested in how it works. Plus, the fact that its long lasting and contains lots of natural ingredients has me sold!

Never tried but would love to try the damage control solid shampoo as I'm trying to reduce the number of nasty chemicals i put on and in my body, and if it's environmentally friendly too that's a plus.

I've heard of solid shampoo before but have never been lucky enough to try one! I'd love to try St Clements on my long, fine hair. I find that because my hair is so fine that it gets oily at the roots really quickly but if I wash too often it dries out the ends of my hair a bit much.

Never heard of solid shampoo I need this in my life ! I wear permanent extensions I have fairly mixed hair between oily and dry it's hard to keep up !

Being a Lushie, I have been meaning to try Lush's solid shampoos but never have, I guess because I doubt it will tackle my hair the way I want it to. I have tried a solid conditoner, and I liked it. So I guess there is no real reason for me to doubt.

I too have never heard of these or seen them before all completely new to me. The sound quite intriguing though I would love to try one. I think damage control sounds like me.
