This week at Beauty Review we're sharing some of the Beauty Crew's favourite products with you.

Yesterday our Chief of Bright Ideas Merilyn shared her pick - the gorgeous Glasshouse Fragrances Tahaa Vanilla Caramel Candle.  (Not quite a beauty product, but one does not disagree with the Queen!)  Later on in the week BR's Moderator and Resident Beauty Therapist Zoe is bringing you her secret to perfect brows and our in-house Beauty Writer Tabatha has chosen a powerful multi-tasker for your face.

Which leaves me, the First Lady of Beauty Review, Natalie.  (Move over Michelle O...) I've chosen my ultimate mascara which also just so happens to be second place in our Top Ten Mascaras as rated by you - the Eye of Horus Goddess Mascara.

Somethings in life are hard to find.  U2 still haven't found what they're looking for.  Maybe they're on the hunt for the perfect pair of jeans.  I don't know a woman alive who doesn't struggle with that.  So when you find a pair that flatters your curves, fits both your short legs and dis-proportionally skinny ankles and are as comfortable as trackpants; you do what any sane gal would do.  You buy at least three pairs and stash one pair at the very back of the drawer in case you find yourself in a post-apocolyptic world and in need of a new pair of jeans.  (Jeans shopping is bad enough without having to fight off Zombies).

For me, finding the ultimate mascara is right up there with finding the perfect pair of jeans.  I want something that will lengthen and thicken my lashes, that stays on through all situations but comes off when I take it off.  I want something that is kind to my lashes and will help them grow as I use it.  How hard can that be to find?  Turns out quite hard.

This is what they say about the Eye of Horus Goddess Mascara. "It's naturally formulated in the style of the ancient Egyptians.  It's designed to accentuate and enhance the natural beauty of your lashes, our Goddess Mascara wont irritate eyes or sting and coats lashes evenly. It conditions, nourishes and strengthens lash structure to assist with lash growth".

And for once EVERY WORD of the marketing blurb is the truth.  Ok so you might think $44 is a bit pricy for a mascara, but when you use it everyday and it ticks every box and then some, it's a steal.  I'd pay more for it and other than a few things like Christian Dior Dolce Vita and a pack of Jammie Dodgers this is not a statement I make lightly.

So after 14 years of searching I have found the can't-live-without-it mascara I've been looking for.  Eye of Horus Goddess Mascara is the bump to my grind.  The hip to my jive.  The Edge to my Bono. And by Dior I would fight off a hoard of zombies and mummies for it. Or at least ask the Hubby to.

And because we're sharing - we're looking for a trial team to give us their verdict on the Eye of Horus Goddess Mascara.  Want to put your hand up for this team?  (Trust me you do!) Tell us your thoughts!

Have you tried Eye of Horus Goddess Mascara yet? Do you agree with Natalie and rate it as one of the best, if not the best mascara you've used?  Or maybe you don't believe any other brand can top your ultimate mascara?  What is your favourite mascara and are you loyal to it, or are you always keeping a sneaky eye out for the next best thing?

Get chatting below - and don't forget to enter our amazing competition.

You could win over $200 worth of the Beauty Crew's favourite products!

Well that's it, gotta have it! I am forever on the hunt for the perfect mascara and this looks like it ticks all the right boxes. I know I've saved this to my favourites after reading the reviews, for good reason obviously! Next step, get one!

I am always on the hunt for the perfect mascara I have tried so many. You get all excited about the advertising and when it comes to trying the product is a real let down. And some are very highly priced.

OMG this sounds amazinggggg! I have such underwhelming lashes, and so far I've found two mascaras that do a pretty good job at making them stand out a bit more. I do adore my Clinique High Impact Mascara, which just gives lovely, full-looking inky lashes, and my Collection Does It All Mascara is fantastic at really defining and lengthening, although it's nasty to remove! I'd love to see if Eye of Horus has created something even better that can really do my eyes justice and put this baby to the test!

I had never heard of this brand or mascara until reading it in the top 10 mascara article, my favourite is the benefit theyre real andim in need of a new mascara, this one sounds amazing!

This sounds insanely good! I'm currently loving the Collection Does it All mascara, but while it is *very* good, I'm still not convinced it's perfect. I definitely would like something that is absolutely, definitively smudgeproof, but removes easily without taking eyelashes with it!

My eyelashes are so damaged from when I had an obsession with getting eyelash extensions about 3 years ago. Still to this stay they are short and sparse so I am always looking for a Mascara that will help thicken with volume and extend my remaining few eyelashes so I would love to try this and see how it works for me.

I haven't tried it before and in all honesty, mascara is probably what I spend the least on. I'm lucky enough to have reasonably long, thick lashes and am a bit of a false lash addict so maybelline generally does it for me :)

Gosh it sounds fabulous! if there is one bit of makeup i apply its ALWAYS mascara! I think the best i have tried to date is a Lancome but I always trying new ones looking for something that gives great length and fullness

I don't have a fav mascara at the moment. Can't find one tht ticks all the boxes so would love to try this! Especially since someone would fight off zombies for it haha. Fingers crossed I get picked for this trial, if not I think I might just spend $44 to try this! Heard so much great things about it

5th August, 2014

I am most definitely keen to try this. I haven't yet found a mascara that hasn't disappointed me but I would love to change that.

5th August, 2014

I use mascara very rarely because it irritates my eyes. I did I-lasik a couple of years a go so I think my eyes are more sensitive now. I would love to try this product and see how it goes.

5th August, 2014

I would love to try this. Sounds amazing! Currently using Lancôme hypnose mascara. Still searching for the best mascara - I have so many at home that I have tried and haven't liked!!

5th August, 2014

Ok, I'm willing to say that I'm desperate to trial this.. like, kiss your pedicured feet desperate to trial this one! Out of all the products you ask people to trial, this is my holy grail of trials!! (Well, the mascara and the their eyeliner)

I've heard nothing but great things about this product since I joined beauty review some months back, but basically I haven't been able to afford it due my house having to be repiled, 2 of my cats dying (and the vet bills associated with trying to save them), my horse being stuck in a creek and having to be rescued by the fire department (again with the vet bills), me having constant tonsillitis.. hey, I could write you a country and western song about it if it would help me get on the trial??

Currently I'm using Revlon, but the grass sounds so much greener on the Eye Of Horus side of the fence..

5th August, 2014

Wow! Sounds like the perfect mascara! Totally essential in my book! I'm not in to false lashes or extensions unless they look natural. So finding the perfect mascara that delivers is a must. I'd love to try this out :-)
