Have you used Hyaluronic Acid before?

Have you heard of Hyaluronic Acid?  If you're not familiar with this skin care ingredient, you're probably thinking it's a peel?   Well, it's actually an incredibly powerful ingredient that has nothing to do with exfoliating.  It's the key to super hydrated, plumped, glowy skin!

Hyaluronic Acid is a natural compound - we're all born with in our bodies and like most of the good stuff, it decreases with age.  Hyaluronic Acid is found in our joints, muscles and in our skin - it's kind of the CRC of the body - without it we'd become brittle and dry.

As an ingredient, the easiest way to describe Hyaluronic Acid is that it is a 'dermal filler'.  It's most magical property is that it can absorb and hold 1000 times its weight in water.  By holding lots of water, it fills out wrinkles.

An equally impressive quality is that it preserves collagen, which in turn firms and plumps up the skin.

With all this talk of Hyaluronic Acid, you might have guessed...our next Trial Team features products containing this mighty ingredient.

Introducing the new Garnier Green Labs Hyalu-Melon range!

The Garnier Green Labs Hyalu-Melon Smoothing Milky Cleanser is formulated with Hyaluronic Acid and Watermelon to remove impurities and make up for smooth, bouncier and hydrated skin.  It's designed for dehydrated skin and to targetted fine lines.

The Garnier Green Labs Hyalu-Melon Replumping Serum Cream combines 3 products into 1 simple step.  It offers 24 hours of moisture, with the intensive results of a serum; as well as the protection of broad spectrum SPF 15!  The lightweight formula is enriched with Hyaluronic Acid and Watermelon to replump dehydrated skin and fine lines.

If you'd like to put your hand up for this trial team tell us about your skin - is it dehydrated?  Would you like to see a reduction in fine lines?  Have you tried Hyaluronic Acid before? Why do you want to join this Trial Team?

I absolutely love my hyaluronic acid serum! I use it on a daily basis and I swear it’s made my skin look so much smoother and firmer than before. This product sounds amazing! A serum, moisturiser and spf!? Not to mention watermelon, this would be an awesome product to trial!

I am so in need of this product. Such dull skin

I’m currently not using hyaluronic acid but as I age have found my skin has become dry and dull. I would love to trial this and review it hopefully having a positive effect on my skin.

I love hyaluronic acid in beauty products great for smoothing and extra hydration. I would love to try this product.

I am using a hyaluronic acid by The Ordinary on and off at the moment. Coming into the colder months I will definitely be using HA more as my skin tends to dry out. I'm newly into my 30s as well so love products that are targeting those fine lines!

Ohhh I tend to errr on the side of caution with HA heading into the winter…if the air around you is too dry it can pull moisture from deep down in your dermis layer of the skin up to the surface. Feels amazing on application and gives your skin an instantly plump look but can dry you out over time. Drink your water and apply on damp skin just after a wash and seal with a moisturiser. I must admit I’m a sucker for watermelon in anything though haha

I've never used it before but I heard that it helps to hydrated the skin. I have oily skin and as it's becoming winter my skin drys out more and more and it's hard to keep the moisture lock in. This sounds like a good product I would like to try it sometime.

With winter coming upon us I am noticing my skin to be more dehydrated currently. Yes yes yes I'd LOVE to see a reduction in fine lines... People around me tell me they can't see them, but I'm telling you I can and I'm not here for them. I have used Hyaluronic Acid before! It was a product I had recently heard people talking about. I didn't sound straight forward like a serum, oil, or moisturizer so I went to find out what it was and how best to use it! I've only tried one brand, so far I'm enjoying it! I apply it after serums/eye creams and after night creams. I am liking the results I see and would love to be on this trial team to try it from another brand as this product sure looks amazing!

This sounds like it would be an ideal morning serum. As my skin is aging it is becoming a lot more dehydrated and needs a good moisture boost. And I love that this has an spf factor as well

Oh gee, I would love to be on this trial team! I turned 50 in December and my skin is dehydrated and needing help with fine lines/wrinkles! I haven't actually tried hyaluronic acid before but have heard a lot about it and it sounds great! I am the perfect candidate for this trial team!

I love hyaluronic acid - I have used it in serums and moisturizers, and it is perfect for me in autumn and winter when my skin gets dry and uncomfortable. I like the sound of watermelon in these products - I wonder if they will smell alike it? Id be keen to try!

As I am approaching the big 4, my skin is not as youthful as it once was. I’m guilty of not looking after it so often. My skin is a bit dry and I can noticeable lines when I smile :( I would love to try any product to see if it can help bring back some youth to my skin.

Yeah, but would this make my already oily face look even oiler?

A huge double yes to having lines/wrinkles and dry skin. Because of that, I did try a product with hyularonic acid in it, but maybe because it also contained alcohol and mineral pigment, it didn't seem very hydrating (let alone plumping). I'd really love to see if these Garnier products work better. Moving into these cooler months, my skin is in even more desperate need of some plumping, hydrating, collagen-enhancing action! Sounds amazing. Also, at the moment I double or triple cleanse (sensitive, dry skin means I need gentle cleansing but one pass is never enough to remove my sunblock and foundation), and then I layer serum, moisturiser, then sunblock, before a moisturising foundation final layer. I really hate having to fuss about with so many layers, but if I don't, my skin suffers. A single hydrating cleanse, and a single layer before foundation would be incredible! especially if they worked their hyularonic magic on my skin at the same time :)

I have heard that hyaluronic acid and vitamin c is very good for the skin. I've never tried it before but I would like to. Thank you

I have a super oily t-zone and when I started using a HA serum I definitely noticed my skin looked less oily than before :)
