Here we go again! The EE Cream!

Less than 5 months ago we wrote Do You Know Your BB From Your CC? - the ultimate guide to those 'alphabet creams' that are flooding the market.  Back then we were up to DDs and guess what?  Less than 6 months later, they've only gone and done it to us again.

Ladies, we give you - the EE Cream.

Prestige brand Estee Lauder released the EE Cream at the beginning of October.  Can you guess what it's full name is?  We bet you can't!  The Enlighten Even Effect Skintone Corrector SPF 30.  One thing's for sure, EE is definitely more catchy than EEESCSPF30.

Now before your consumer cynicism kicks in, this cream does seem to be different than any other on the market - tackling discolouration, hyper-pigmentation and dark spots by breaking the cycles that cause them. Did you know that everyday your skin is under attack from UV Rays and pollution?  And that while we constantly told to get our beauty sleep, hyper-pigmentation and discolouration are actually made worse overnight?

So what the clever sausages at Estee Lauder have done, is create a cream full of an ingredient called Baicalin that stops the irritation of the skin caused by pollution and the sun. If the skin doesn't react to the irritation of the nasties in the air then it won't change colour, darken or blemish. The cream also contains pigments and luminescent particles to help even the skin tone and add a youthful and healthy glow to the face.

We'd pretty much decided we were over the alphabet cream phase, but we're actually pretty curious about this one - how about you?  What are your thoughts on the continuation and evolution of BBs, CCs, DDs and now EEs? Are you excited with each new letter or is it time marketing execs find a new hook?

Look, if this actually works & does what it claims to do, I don't care what they call it.

Besides the name, this product actually sounds really good :-)

EE now...I wonder if it will get up to ZZ?? Hehe this cream does sound intriguing though as I have lots of red pigmentation on my cheeks and upper chest. If this product could reduce that, I'd be hooked on it.

This cream sounds possibly magical and is making me want it on my face all the time! However all those BB and CC creams were too much for me, I never hoped on that bandwagon - EE cream is just getting ridiculous!

Another double letter....I really think they need to come up with a new concept! Having said that though, I'm really intrigued at how well this cream would work. I have a fair bit of discolouration, and with broken capillaries and sunspots I love the idea of an even skin tone! I'll definitely be keeping an eye out to see the reviews on this

I really like the sound of this (not the name) and would like to try it :-)

Might be worth a try, but really did it need to be another alphabet one? It could have had any name :/

This might be the one I am most excited about!! I didn't get the BB cream thing... it just doesn't fit with my regime, and I still haven't been inspired to try the CC or DD but the EE (EEESCSPF30 lol) sounds like it is what my skin needs. Will be keeping an eye out next shopping trip. (Let's hope the whole marketing strategy doesn't go as far as ZZ cream, to help with a good nights sleep :p)

How long till ZZ cream? "Zapping Zits"

I think the name sounds silly and doesn't exactly do the product justice, as it sounds like an amazing product I'd love to try! Hyper-pigmentation is a skin issue very high on my radar.

this product actually sounds fantatstic to me :)

I think I am very interested in this product so here is hoping they will allow you to take home a sample and try it out before paying the full amount for it. As I have to try a foundation type of product out before I commit to buying it due to being poorly color matched and sometimes it tends to look different when I am in the natural light

Sounds a bit like a bra size to me

It sounds amazing - but I don't know, I think I'm a bit jaded now and will stick with my beloved CC Cream. Although I did get a Tony Moly cream in a Memebox, which is apparently a BB, CC and Foundation all in one - quite interested to see what that's like.

It actually does sound good Yes enough of the alphabet Already :)
