Weddings. A big event with lots going on, but we all know where everyone's eyes will be fixated. The bride.
From the day itself, to the photographs after, the main focal point will be the woman in the big dress - a beauty faux pas will not be forgotten. And as we know, the perils of fake tanning are plentiful on any given day let alone the biggest day of a gal's life.
Whether you want to hide natural tan lines, even out your skin tone or get a healthy summery-looking tan, fake tan can really make your wedding look, but it can also break it. Avoid disaster by taking these things into consideration before you hit the bottle for your W-Day!
Our tips:
- Make sure you test several different tans BEFORE the wedding day. This way you'll be able to find your perfect shade, and avoid any reactions occuring on the day!
- Test the tan out on white clothes - if your practice run rubs off, chances are your expensive dress is going to end up a little dirty around the edges!
- Get someone to take some photos of you with your test tan; the way you see yourself may be different on camera than in the mirror.
- Speaking of photos - you might want to check you don't look overly tanned compared to your betrothed. A super bronzed goddess next to a pale fiance might make your tan look fake. (YES we know its fake, but its supposed to look natural!)
- Pay attention to the package instructions or the advice of the beauty salon when it comes to showering, exercising and wearing clothes post-tan - follow them strictly and you won’t end up uneven or blotchy!
I'm not a fan of fake tans really. But each to their own:-)
