Serum
Kiehl's Vital Skin-Strengthening Super Serum
You've washed your face. Cleansed away the day. The first step you can take to bolster your nightime beauty routine is to apply a serum. The serum you choose is up to you, but I like to reach for one that packs a punch - if it has an AHA, BHA or retinol, I'm all in. Not sure which serum might suit you? Check out these Top Rated beauties.
Eye Cream
L'Oréal Paris Age Perfect Golden Age Eye Cream
I am terrible at remembering to apply eye cream in the morning. It's the one step that gets missed in the rush to get the family ready, get myself ready, and get out the door. At night, though, there's no excuse, and the delicate skin around your eyes will appreciate the extra care.
Night Cream
essano Hydrating Rosehip Moisture Restorative Night Crème
With a goodly six to eight hours ahead of you, night time is your chance to reach for a rich moisturiser, without having to worry that you're going to end up looking like you've survived an oil explosion. Slather it on over top of your serum, then let it do its thing while you dream of Pedro Pascal. (What? Just me? No? In that case, <insert your sweet dream of choice here>.)
Body Moisturiser
Tabby truth: in summer I'm not a fan of moisturising my body at night. I'm sticky enough with the heat and humidity of the season, but in winter, I can be convinced - and the thicker, the richer the product, the better. Apply it lavishly, then slip into your flannelette jim-jams and let it sink in overnight.
Bonus Tip: Sock it to 'em!! In other words. Go nuts with the moisturiser on your feet and hands as well, then pop some socks on top (or mittens on your hands if you have some), and you'll wake up to super soft, deeply nourished skin.
Hair Oil
Schwarzkopf Extra Care Rose Hip Oil Elixir
Lastly, if you're due a hair washing day, and you don't mind your pillow getting a touch greasy, then applying hair oil to your tresses at night is a wonderful way to give them a deeply nourishing treatment. Do avoid applying it to your scalp though, stick to the mid-lengths down. Not keen on getting your pillow and sheets dirty? Pop on a hair turban.
