I'm pretty on to it with my beauty life skills - winged eyeliner generally goes my way, I seldom have an issue painting my nails with my weaker side, but false eyelashes...why on earth are they so tricky?!
Now yes after years of trying and failing at faking it I could have chosen to give up on falsies and relied on mascara. Except my sparse eyelashes need an extra oomph, even with day or natural looks. Thankfully one day I discovered the easiest way to fake it and I've been doing it ever since.
I give you - individual lashes. Sounds fiddlier than a strip of lashes I know, but it's not I promise. Individual lashes are not single strands, they're little 'flares' of 4-8 lashes grouped together by a knot. Flares vary in length and thickness so you can really customise your look.
Here's what I love about individual lashes:
- You get to decide where to add length and volume - and how much to add. Want a little extra on the outer edge to go with your wing? No problem. Want to fill in a sparse patch? Easy.
- You can build up the look - from a natural day look to a dramatic evening look.
- Individual lashes are much more subtle than a strip, so you won't need to 'hide' them using shadow or the world's biggest cat's eye.
- They're semi-permanent. I apply my individuals every other Monday, they easily last the fortnight.
- I love how easy they are to apply, its not like lining up a strip, it's really, really easy.

I just brought some not long ago but havn't been brave enough to apply them yet with my big clumsy fingers.I love how natural they look.
