Is a Cleansing Tool Really Necessary?

There was a time when my eyes would roll at electronic cleansing tools.  People paying hundreds of dollars for brushes and vibrating silicone things, just to do what the humble flannel had done for years...clean your face.

And then I tried one.  And it was good.  And then I read up on the science behind them.  And it made sense.

You see cleansing brushes and tools remove dirt, makeup and oil more efficiently that the old fashioned way.  They stimulate the skin to improve circulation and exfoliate it, removing dead and dry skin cells  This means your skin is better cleansed, better prepped to receive the regular next step of your skin care routine.

And so, over the years I've become a bit obsessed with all things face cleansers so it's no surprise that our latest product going out for review has me just a little bit excited!

We're putting the Manicare Salon Thermal Sonic Cleanser to the test.  It's a rechargeable silicone facial cleansing brush powered by sonic pulsation to instantly remove impurities.  There's even the option to warm the device up to 40⁰C for a deeper clean.

The ultra-soft silicone brush tips are non-porous, which means they dry much faster than traditional bristles, so they’re more hygienic while being gentle on the skin.  And the brush will not need replacing...ever!  It's designed to last as long as the device, so no further investment required!

The Manicare Salon Thermal Sonic Cleanser is also 100% waterproof so you can use it in the shower too!

We think it looks super cute and sounds amazing, but of course we aren't the ones who are going to be reviewing it - you guys are!

So if it sounds like something you need to try, comment below and tell us why!  Do you currently use a face tool like the Manicare Salon Sonic Thermal Cleanser?  Or have you never up-specced your face cleaning?  Why do you want a spot on this trial team?

I have never used a Cleansing Tool but would love to see the difference it would possibly make.

This tool sounds good and I would absolutely love to try this face tool to clean my face. It will clean the dirt and pores of my face. I would love to try this product.

I definitely be keen to try one of these. I’m always looking for better ways to cleanse my skin and get deeper into my pores to make my skin look fresher and cleaner. This tool sounds fabulous. I haven’t tried any yet because they honestly haven’t seemed as practical as this one seems, so I’d be super interested in giving this one a go and seeing if it’s as good as it says it will be. I hope it is, because it looks great and I love the fact it’s waterproof so it can be used in the shower, as that’s where I would definitely want to use it the most!

I don't currently use a face tool because I've always had good skin (lucky me right!) But lately especially with the mask wearing ive not been so lucky. It would be interesting to see if it made a difference

I reviewed this but after my review it stopped working completely. Wouldn't even charge. I would not recommend it. Especially seeing as $80. It is such a pity because I really loved using it and did a really good job until it became a pretty paper weight. I also see that I can't search for this product to change my review.

I'd absolutely love to try one of these! I have just a normal cheap silicone face cleanser but it's not as snazzy as this one seems to be. I've noticed cleaning my face without any type of cleaning tool doesn't actually lift the dirt so this would be amazing

These are $80, would be really great to see if they are that good!

I would love to try this!! I have used one (albeit quite a cheap one from Trademe) and I did feel it made a big difference to how clean my skin was getting, I am not currently using a facial tool at the moment, but Im having some difficulty with my skin at the moment due to medication I have to take for my Graves Disease (plays havoc with EVERYTHING). My pores are really blocked and my skin is quite patchy and dull - what I wouldn't give to use this and just magic it all away! I do stick to a skincare regime and I'm always keen to try something new, given that any day I could wake up and possibly have my eyes google out (another pleasant side effect). I find a get that yucky chicken skin on my arms and legs sometimes which Ive wondered whether something like this would help. My mums answer is 'soap and water and scrub scrub scrub lol! Perhaps If you picked me It will do wonders and I can pretend Im sickness free and 35 again instead of 'around' 40 lol! :-)

i use a soft sponge with my cleanser.

I used to have a similar to to foreo ultrasonic cleanser thingy ( apologies I forgot the proper name) and I loved it. Unfortunately I lost the special charger for it and it no longer goes so would love to try this on my face. I found it to be gentler on my skin than the rotating brush cleanser that you buy.

Would love to try this one to see if it can convert me to the tech side of beauty!

Deep dirty pours I feel like this little beauty would benefit my adult prone acne skin massively. I do have dry skin cells an often do a facial by hand to keep it at bay, I'd love to test this out !

I have not used a product like this at home - but love the results after a facial. Would be really keen to try and see the difference with a deeper clean.
