Is your moisturiser too heavy for summer?

We've spoken quite a lot about changing your products to best compliment your skin and tend to it's needs as the seasons change.

Your moisturiser is no different.  In the Winter you're likely to need a more intense product and if you're suffering from dry flakes, you'll want a heavier moisturiser like a cream.  In the Summer you might find that your regular moisturiser is too heavy and leaves your face feeling greasy to touch.

So what's a girl to do?  Well we've spoken a lot about the ingredient of the year, the highly hydrating hyaluronic acid which works well in gel formulas.  Gel formulas are lighter than lotions, easily absorbed and don't leave a sticky or greasy film behind.

Or you could try adding a serum to your routine.  Serums penetrate deeper than lotions or creams and can deliver active ingredients where they're needed.

Well our latest trial product really does seem to be the best of both worlds!

We're putting Azurlis Hydrating Face & Neck Gel to the test.  With yeast extracted hyaluronic acid, as well as jojoba and flax seed oils, this is the ideal gel serum for thirsty skin. This is a gel serum that is firming and deeply moisturising.

This gel is a great alternative to a cream based moisturiser, but for super dry skin you can use it as a hydration booster before you use your regular day cream and lock in moisture. Organic licorice and edelweiss extracts add natural skin lightening properties to this product to help reduce dark spots and blemishes.

We're looking for one trial team to put this lucious gel to the test, so if it sounds like something you could benefit from why not tell us why below.  Does your moisturiser feel too heavy in the warmer weather and are you looking for an alternative?  Or maybe you're looking to add a hydration boost to your skin with a new serum?

Get chatting below, we might just send you one to trial!

Absolutely need to trail this or wait for the reviews. Summer time is the time to change your entire routine. A lighter one would be great

I would really like to be on this Trial. I was just thinking this morning I may need to change to a lighter moisturiser as my current one -Organic Surge, is feeling a little heavy & when it's warmer it feels tacky for longer.

Moisturizers are such tricky items for me especially in summer! I use a cream moisturizers which makes my face look like an oil machine. I have tried using gel moisturizers but my skin felt tight and dry so I guess it wasn't moisturized enough. I own plenty that I dont use anymore.

I am actually having the worst trouble trying to find a decent moisturizer, I'm almost at the point of pulling my hair out! Am currently using Olay, and some days its perfect, and some days it goes all weird in my hands and doesn't rub in at all. I hate it!! Haha

This does sound awesome I've never tried lighter in my moisturiser as my skin is dry.

I have only used cream moisturisers before! Using a gel sounds hydrating and light on my skin

I have fairly dry skin on my face and I tend to neglect it and moisturise my body more than my face because creams feel too heavy. Either I'm putting it on before bed and feel like I should wait for it to dry before I sleep, or in the morning where I'm actually more interested in putting on my makeup. The time it takes for me to feel like it has absorbed is a big issue for me, and even BB creams can be irritating. I ride a motorbike and want to feel like my makeup will stay in place rather than colour the inside of my helmet when I'm heading out and the heaviness of cream moisturiser makes this a bit tricky. Would love to get on the trial team to see if it's something that would work for my skin

Haven't tried a gel before but often think the cream one I use is too thick and doesn't seem to go deep enough into my skin, but sits on the top. Would love to try trial and also get the benefits of hyaluronic acid!!

This sounds glorious! I would love to try something light weight for summer.

I am looking for the perfect solution - I religiously moisturise but still have incredibly dry skin, particularly my forehead. I use a cream day and night, as well as an anti-wrinkle serum but this sounds like it could be the hydration injection I need! I would LOVE to finally get rid of these dry skin flakes - bleurgh!

when i first discovered it was my moisturiser being to heavy i had been worried.I would apply in the morning and later in the morning i would notice like small pebbles of foundation would appear if i slightly touched my face.Yuck.It was like peeling only not being sun burnt. I now use a lighter moistriser but not sure it is moisturising enough.

Yes, regular moisturiser can be too heavy in our summer. I live in a warm and very dry climate and therefore my skin feels the need for hydration more than once a day, but I resist sometimes due to the feeling of "too much". I have tried the serums too, but they can leave an overly oily result. I would love to try this Azurlis gel, it sounds ideal for my environment.

I have super dry skin year round and have only ever used cream moisturisers, I've not yet tried a gel. I'm always keen to try new formulas to see if it can provide more moisture to my skin, especially if it's lighter than a moisturiser because I always have to wait a good 30min for the moisturiser to soak in before I can get started on my makeup!

I haven't tried a product with hyaluronic acid before, and this gel formula sounds fantastic! I would love to try it.
