We're all just big kids at heart right?  Oh sure, we love being grown ups because it means we can wear makeup, but really, our makeup stash, our skin care collection, our bathroom cabinets - they're our toybox, right?  And we'd play for hours and hours if time permitted!

And while we love an elegant perfume bottle or a beautiful lipstick case, but on the other hand, can we resist a cute beauty product? I don't think so!  Which is probably one of the reasons Lip Crayons have become so popular.  There's just something cute, quaint and childlike about putting on your makeup with a crayon.

And they're super-easy to use.  Can you use a Crayola? Then you can use a lip crayon!

Seeing that the beauty world has gone just a little bit gaga for lip crayons, L'Oreal Paris has taken the trend one step further by introducing Glam Shine Balmy Gloss.

This is a lip colour and caring balm all in one. With a range of fun colours and enriched with nourishing flower extracts, this innovating crayon simultaneously gives you the shine of a lip gloss and the nourishment of a lip balm.

We're putting L’Oréal Paris Glam Shine Balmy Gloss in the shade Dare the Dragonfruit to the test - and of course we need some great reviewers to take on the challenge!

So if you're in awe of this purple crayon why not tell us your experiences with lip crayons - are they a staple in your beauty bag or is the concept new to you?

I have some L'Oreal lip crayons I won and I use them all the time! They're so handy and easy to use. There's always at least one in my bag at any given time.

Great idea, never tried a lip crayon, but would love to give it a go, as it looks practical as well as cool.

I have two of the Matte Revlon lip crayons and love them! Application is so simple and touch ups are a breeze! I would love to try a gloss lip crayon and this purple Loreal one looks amazing!!

I love the idea of these! A lot of lipsticks tend to dry my lips and I find a lot of the glosses too sticky. These seem like they'd be the perfect middle ground! And that colour looks amazing!

I love the Revlon ones but haven't found any other brands I like so it's cool that L'Oréal are bringing them out because the Revlon colour range is a tad limited. They're awesome for everyday wear!

I'm intrigued? They definitely sound more fun than standard lipstick but how long do they last and how vibrant are the colours?

20th January, 2015

These sound great for application! I've never tried a colour so bold before either, nothing like stepping our of your comfort zone and challenging yourself right?
