Are you looking to switch to natural haircare?

Our hair is a funny thing.  It's essentially dead from the root down, but that doesn't mean we don't need to pay it some TLC.  And we're not just talking about slapping on a deep conditioner every week or so - every time we wash or style our hair we should be using the very best products we can, for our mane and our skin.

YES, our skin!  Think about it - whenever we shampoo our hair we are shampooing our scalp.  Whenever we apply conditioner, our skin will be exposed to it.  The suds and washed out product stream down our face and body.  And we all know how absorbant our skin is right?

I once developed really dry skin on my shoulders, and I couldn't for the life of me figure out what was causing it.  (I only found out about it when The Mummy thought I had dandruff and conducted a Mummy-investigation.)  I tried creams aimed at ezcema, moisturisers, barrier creams, scrubs, but nothing would solve the dry, flakey patch.  Until I changed to a different brand of shampoo and conditioner.  True story.

Skin naturally absorbs what we put on our hair. If the shampoo and other hair products are not developed to work with your skin then they strip the body oils. The Eithne Curran range is based on 'good ethical science', that has used natural science to create a mild botanical cleansing system.

We're looking for members to put the Eithne Curran Shampoo, Conditioner and Restore Treatment to the test.  Every product in the system uses 20 ultra pure plant scientifically research plant essences which compliment the hair and skins natural chemistry.  There are no SLS, parabens, mineral oils, silicones, glycols, synthetic dyes, alcohol retinols or animal by-products.  The range is cruelty free and suitable for Vegetarians and Vegans.  We know, it sounds too good to be true right?!

If you'd like to join this trial team and help us put this $150 system to the test, tell us about your hair below, and why you'd like to give the range a go - we might just pick you!

Im always looking for the perfect product for my hair and skin. My hair is naturally curly but has been destroyed from constantly colouring it and straightening it. I would love to trial this product to see if it can bring my hair back to life.

Would love to try this as my hair seems to change its mind halfway through a bottle of Shampoo/ Conditioner and decide its really not working for it and either go greasy or dry. So looking for a shampoo that i can continue to use all the way down to the bottom of the bottle and then be able to buy more!

I'd like to give this a go. I get lumps on the skin on my neck from some shampoos/conditioners so am constantly trialling different products to find something my skin likes. Also trying to remove some of the chemicals from my skin and hair routine in the hope that helps. My hair is wavy and quite thick, gets oily at the scalp quite quickly but ends get fluffy and dry (read frizzy) so anything that can deal with that would be great

I'd love to try natural hair care! My hair is pretty fussy... it gets oily pretty quickly, and often cheap products aimed at addressing oiliness work a lot better than ill suited expensive salon products... but then again sometimes I can use the same shampoo/conditioner that has been working fine and it just does nothing to address my issues... so I've got nothing to lose, as I obviously haven't found my 'holy grail' haircare product yet... it would be great if natural products did work the best for me!

I've already switched to no sls or silicones but have had a hard time finding such products here. Luckily I've found eco store shampoos and conditioners and have been using them for while now but I'm a person who loves to change things up and right now it seems like i only have the one brand to use. Would love to change up my hair care products and try these out for a change

Hmmm, yes I'm getting into natural. I'm trying mane and tail at the moment which is making my hair lovely although I don't know if it's the apple cider vinegar rinse I'm doing between shampoo and conditioning. I used my " old products" again the other day and went straight back to natural mane and tail. Gave my hair such softness, I have a friend who couldn't stop stroking it hahahah a.it was so soft and nice. So yup might be sticking to natural now. Would love to try this

I so need to trial this product. I am forever trying to find a product that will make my hair feel healthy and give it a nice glossy finish. I colour my hair every 6 weeks (to cover the grey roots) and obviously the colour doesnt help my hair. After a couple of weeks, it goes very dry looking. I am always trying different products to see whether I can get it to look and feel any better. Its like my hair loves a different conditioner for a couple of uses and then it goes back to its old ways. I do wash my hair every day because if I dont it gets very oily on the 2nd day. I would love to trial a natural product and see whether this makes a difference. :)

I've been using an all natural, organic hair range for about 4 years now. It's a Professional range that unfortunately isn't available in NZ so I have to purchase online. My hair is coloured so it requires a bit of extra love. I changed from the standard Salon fare as my scalp/skin reacted badly to the ingredients and well last week I made a decision to purchase only natural products, preferably organic, from now on. If this range can deliver, I will happily buy locally again.

Wow that's so interesting that the shampoo/conditioner affects your skin and can irritate it, it makes sense though. I have been looking at using natural hair care products as I have sensitive skin and scalp and I also get dandruff. My sister has switched to using organic shampoo and conditioner and she has found that it made such a difference, and her dandruff is not as bad either. Since reading this I think I will definitely switch to natural hair products or at least give it a go once my current bottles run out. I'd be interested to see what results I get and what the reviews are like for this range.

I'd love to give this a go! I have sever psoriasis on my scalp and its so hard to find hair products that don't set it off

I have actually started using a lot of natural skincare products this year but haven't made the switch to natural haircare products yet simply put down to cost..ergh why are natural products so much more expensive! Anyway I would love to give this a go, I get slight dandruff/itchy hair which also needs volume because my hair is so dull, thin & dry sooo I would love to try these products!!

This looks like such a luxurious hair care product! I love how the packaging differs from other natural brands that usually just stick to white and green colours. My hair is naturally wavy, oily and it's about 20cm longer than shoulder length. I plan to get my hair dyed in the next week so I'd love to see if it can help maintain the colour. I'd also be interested in seeing how well this product works with oily hair.

I am always trying to cut down on the chemicals I use on my body so this would be great to try.
