Makeup is more than just a perception of beauty, it is used to make people feel confident, or make them into a completely new character. You can be whatever you put your mind to in the world of art, but most importantly, always be yourself - Alexys Fleming

For most of us putting on our daily face is challenging enough.  Trial and error, watching YouTube videos and for some, taking a Makeup Artistry course are how we've learned.  Well for some people makeup artistry is just that - an art that they have a very real gift for.

For example - Alexys Fleming from Illinois.  She's a 22 year old YouTube sensation, who has not only taught herself to apply makeup.  She fully transforms herself into some amazing characters - by herself, using her own methods.

Other than a few props such as coloured contacts and Kruger claws, these looks are created entirely using clever makeup tricks to contour her face in to unrecognisable proportions.

Alexys now has her own range of makeup brushes, and speaks to cosmetics students at colleges throughout America.

We love seeing passion and determination culminating in to a career, and are in awe of Alexys' work!  Seriously it was so hard to decide on the images to use for this article - be sure to check out her Facebook page and YouTube videos!

Wow these look amazing, I must look her up and watch some videos. The photos look like she's wearing some sort of mask, but when you look closer you can see its just contoured and shadowed. She has amazing talent!

This is pretty amazing how theatrical makeup can completely transform you face. These aren't too useful for everyday but great for costume parties and halloween. She's definitely got amazing talent there.
