Confession time. And this time it's a confession of the heart.
On some men, (emphasis on some!) I quite fancy the guyliner. Now I'm not talking full on wings or cat's eyes, but you know, just a little grunge smudged on the lower lashline.
Brandon Flowers. Johnny Depp. Jared Leto. Rarely do I use the word beautiful about men (unless we're talking a young Elvis Presley) but these are all beautiful. And their penchant for eyeliner doesn't make them any less masculine. And between them they cover a range of 'styles'. Brandon is dapper, ok flamboyant on stage, but always neat. Johnny makes dirty work boots and getting dressed in the dark look amazing. And Jared. Oh Jared. I want your ombre'd hair.
So it's not like eyeliner is the symbol of a particular faction of men. But is it the celebrity thing that lets them get away with it? Can a real life mancake rock eyeliner? Do we want them to? I already have to fight for the mirror before we go out when The Husband trims up the beard...
And yet from designer Marc Jacobs, to the mecca for many a beauty, Sephora, men's makeup products are beginning to fill the shelves. Foundations and concealers seem to be the most popular. We probably don't bat an eyelid at a man taking care of his skin nowadays, in fact many of us were shouting 'Thank Dior' when dedicated men's skin care ranges came out, because it meant our stash was safe again.
So what say you girls? Men and makeup - do we like it, or are they beginning to take over our hallowed ground, the Beauty Department? Should we be preparing ourselves to concede even more space in the bathroom, or is makeup for men never going to become mainstream?

I think its looks good on some guys when done right, not too much.
