Who was a jelly Pixie when she saw the L'Oréal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundations arrive for trials? Me! If members of the crew could go on trials, this is one I would have asked to be on in a flash! A long-wear foundation that leaves skin looking glowy, all while being the more natural medium-coverage foundation that I prefer? It's like they had me in mind when it was created.
Next thing you know... Who was all 'are you kidding me, right now? Yes!' when she was asked to do a week of trialling and noting down my thoughts on L'Oréal Infallible Pro-Glow? You guessed right... Me!
I love a good glow! I like my skin to look dewy and fresh. Anything matte makes me look dead.
Spoiler alert - I didn't test it the full 24 hours. I've not stayed up that long in over a decade, but I did put the foundation through its paces, as you'll see, and I reckon it could've handled the jandle back in the day.
So... how did Pro-Glow go while I was on the go? Read on...
Friday, March 2nd.
What. A. Day.
5am start with the small human. Then it's all about working on post analyses for clients. Then packing out the L'Oréal Sugar Scrubs. By the end of the day, I'm the walking dead. There's no sign left of my blusher, or my bronzer. The lippy is long gone. And the concealer hiding the odd pimple is on the verge of giving up the ghost.
But you know what? My foundation's holding up!
(Also, don't ask me why I used Snap to take this selfie. I thought I was using the camera - this is what happens when a child decides 5am is wake up time and you've decided nearly midnight is your bed time.)
Saturday, March 3rd.
I think we'll call this glow on top of Pro-Glow. Today has not stopped. Up at the crack with the little person (hence the veeeeeery tired, red eyes).
Off to a cafe for coffee and hot chocolate, a trip to the park, and now the little person's off rock climbing with the Mr, which means power-walk time for me - hence the glow. Pro-Glow totally held up despite the sweat... and all the running away from imaginary crocodiles at the park!
Tomorrow we're taking part in a school working bee - think gardening, painting, even more sweating. Now there's a test of stickability if ever I heard of one!
Sunday, March 4th.
My body. My aching, tired, ow-ow-ow, desk-jockey of a body is screaming at me for taking part in a working bee. Four hours of gardening and painting in 25 degree sunny-ish weather and I'm done.
My mascara has decided to transfer to my lower lids. But the foundation has held up. Thank god, because I've a mountain of a blind reddening zit springing up on my lower cheek and it needs all the coverage it can get.
Can Pro-Glow handle hard work? Yes, yes it can.
Monday, March 5th.
Look at that face. Just look at it. It's the face of someone who spent just under an hour in the garden, unsheltered by shade, hacking at overgrown bushes, pulling out weeds, spraying weeds, and sweating so much she was literally dripping when she sat down at the end of it to take a picture. It would've been at least twenty-seven degrees out there.
I had to shower after this, and you know what? The L'Oréal Infallible Pro-Glow foundation hadn't budged! How do I know? When I got out of the shower and dried my face on my towel, my towel was covered in foundation. This stuff sticks!
Tuesday, March 6th.
I may not be holding up all that well under this ridiculous heat and humidity, but my foundation is!
What's hotter than a hot day? Getting gussied up at the salon on a hot day. My lord, I swear the combo of leather seats and bare skin saw me get a back of the leg wax as well!
So looking forward to heading back to the office - oh for the cool breeze of the air con.
Wednesday, March 7th.
I always have the best intentions to go to our local yoga studio for a class. The teacher is amazing and I walk away feeling a million dollars. Funny thing about intentions, you have them but so often they go nowhere.
On the upside, I have a yoga mat and YouTube. I also have a mini-pixie who likes to try and copy the moves, while adding dance moves to them.
Side note - how good is this foundation? It's been a humid, hot day and my forehead pigmentation's not even peeking through!
Thursday, March 8th.
It's all hands on deck today!
The office is hiding under a towering mountain of beauty boxes from Best Beauty Box Ever that need to be lovingly packed. (Side note - This might be my favourite box yet!) After work I'm off to work my cooking magic on the BBQ for the PTA at my girl's school disco - and I'm quietly confident... actually, I'm super confident... that I won't have to do any kind of makeup touch-up before I head out the door to that because I've not had to once the whole week that I've been using L'Oréal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation.
How nice has it been to look in the mirror at the end of the day and see a flawless looking face? Fantastically nice!
Final thoughts? I am beyond impressed. When I think of long wear foundations I tend to imagine thick, matte formulas that do my dry skin no favours, so to find a foundation that offers good coverage, without looking fake, all the while giving my skin a luminosity that isn't there usually, is a real treat!
I also love how easy L'Oréal Infallible Pro-Glow is to apply - seriously, use your fingers and you've got a gorgeous base in minutes. Maybe even only one minute! My morning makeup time has easily had five minutes shaved off it due to this foundation - perfect for this mum on the run!
It's five big Beauty Review kisses and a whole lot of love from me!
Awesome -great look until the end !
