Prime your face, prime your eyes...prime you hair?

So we all know why we want to prime our skin? To have a good undercoat, to smooth out any lumps and bumps and to provide a smooth canvas for your makeup etc etc etc, so why shouldn't we prime our hair as well?

A hair primer can smoother the hair follicles, protect your hair from heat and the damaging UV rays and hopefully tame the fro. A good blow dry with the right primer for your hair could be your saviour this summer with drying sun and frizz inducing humidity! Another bonus of the hair primer is that you might not have to spend as much time taming or washing that mane! A good primer will lengthen the life of your blow dry which in turn helps keep those daily touch-ups to a minimum, bonus right? But don't be expecting this product to 'hold' your curve or style, hair primers are generally strictly just that, a primer creating a base but not a hold and thus don't add any added weight to your hair.

So is it a crime not to prime your hair this summer? Or are we on prime overload?

Soooo are you talking about heat protectant sprays or something different?? I use sprays on my hair before I straighten it but thats all I know of...

Loved heat protectant spray back when my hair was blonde and less health, as it needed all the help it could get after all the bleach, hair drying and straightening! A primer would be a good idea in this situation. Not sure about the other benefits...

I've really gotten into using a face primer, I can definitely notice the difference when I don't use one now. So yeah, I would try a hair primer out too.

Hmm interesting... could be good, although I don't use anything in my hair to protect at the moment and I know I should.

I would be interested to try them out, it sounds good and my extremely heat and bleach damaged ends could do with the help!

I never heard of a hair primer but it sounds like the same thing a heat protector that you spray or apply prior to using heat styling tools. Is it the same or is a hair primer different?

Sounds good in theory, but I wonder in practice if I would use it. The only skin primer I use is over all face, even though I have eye primer and lip primer, opps.
