The best part of the beauty world? It's a world where anything goes. For every bold lipstick there's a nude. For highlight that can be seen from space there's a soft diffused sheen. Neon eyeshadows stand alongside natural tones. And even the way we apply our lipstick has its hand-holding opposite. Move over crisp lines and filled in lips, make way for your blurry bestie!
Blurred lips have been circling for a while now. They've graced magazine covers and runways, but now more than ever they're having a moment - and no wonder. They're sweet, chilled out - and yet there's a cool edge to them that has us all a-swoony.

So how do we get the look? Read on...
1. First things first... as always, prime your canvas. In this case exfoliate your lips, then apply a moisturising lip balm and let it sink in.
2. Choose your colour. What we love about this look is that any colour is fair game. You can go nude, pretty it up with a pink, reach for a red, play with a purple.
3. Work from the inside out. So take your lipstick, apply colour to the middle of your lips then get a cotton tip or a lip brush and blend it outwards.
4. Play. This is the bit where you get to do you. You can blend it out so that it finishes at your lip line, before your lip line, or so that it's feathering around your lip line. You can then add gloss or a lip topper to the centre of your lips to create depth and/or sparkly. It's up to you!
Word of warning... As much as the term 'more is more' is echoed through Beauty Review's hallowed halls, we do feel this is one trend though where restraint is key. More is more will only end up making you look like you've been sucking on a heavily food-coloured popsicle with wild abandon. Cute on a five year old... not so cute on us grown up types.
So there you have it - simple tips to get a blurred lip! So will you be rocking a blurred lip? Or is this one trend that needs to be poked away with the sharp end of a stick?

I love the blurred lips look, but I think the over exaggerated cat eye clashes with it, it’s too bold for the softer lip style. I’m looking forward to trying this!
