Over the years, the Beauty Review crew has had the opportunity to chat with the amazing founders, directors and marketing managers of some of New Zealand's biggest and best beauty brands. Women who've inspired us with their ambition, their vision, their ability to take an idea and make it reality. Naturally, during the course of our conversations beauty tips have come up and been shared. Check out five of our favourites...

Skin care always should come first for every woman when it comes to beauty, but if we are talking about makeup, drawing perfect eyebrows on! It really helps if those eyebrows are on point when you are doing your makeup.

Cleanse the skin, exfoliate, tone and hydrate. AND make sure you are protected in the sun. This can be with a product and clothing/hats and also avoid being in the sun when it’s at its hottest. I have a hot tip on this – always have a scarf in your handbag that you can wrap around your neck and decolletage if you are outside. It’s so handy if you are enjoying sitting outside at a café for example.

I am sure it has been said before on here, but it has to be to use sunscreen every day. This is not only a beauty tip but a health tip too. I recently had a skin cancer scare and literally cringe thinking of my teenage years when I use to lather myself in baby oil! You only have one skin and prevention is always the first measure to take.
