If there's one thing we freely admit around here, it's that we love nothing more than cashing our paycheck in on all things beauty. Yes, we probably should go on a 12-step program and cut ourselves off from our enablers - but where's the fun in that?!
Now you probably think 'you work for Beauty Review, you must get loads of freebies'. Yeah, nah. Plus we have that darn rule of only being able to talk about products and services we've paid for ourselves.
We're constantly asked where to find the best deals, where we buy our products from, where do we go for treatments. So here's a few quick tips for you!
Where to find great deals.
Salon services can be expensive. And rightly so. An expert stylist or beauty therapist is your key to a pleasant experience and outcome. But trying someone new, especially when it's accompanied by a hefty price tag is a bit daunting right? Not with deal sites like Grabone.
Grabone features oodles of beauty deals, from half price waxing to full hair restyles at a fraction of the usual costs. Head to the beauty section, select your city and check out what's availble! (Be warned, there's also deals for everything under the sun, kid's outings, restaurants, holidays. There's even a store and a bottle shop...)The best bit? New deals are added daily!
Budget.
Ah budget. It's my favourite shopping B after bargain. Yes, I enjoy budgeting. Why? Simple. It makes a purchase guilt free.
Put a bit aside each week for your beauty habit, but don't feel you have to spend it. Let it accumulate and when you see an amazing beauty deal, take advantage of it! Rubbish at saving? Load up a Prezzy Card - out of sight, out of mind!
Make a purchase win-win
From awesome GWP to fabulous multibuys, it's always a bonus to kill two birds with one stone. Like the amazing Linden Leaves deal we're featuring on the site. Here's how I'm making the most of it:
The free Miraculous Facial Oil is $65 usually, and to get it free you just need to spend $65! The hand cream and body oil duo also has a saving of $15, so this makes this even sweeter! Guilt free.
Rewards programs.
So, this might be a bit biased, but I love the Best Beauty Box Ever. And not just because it's the brainchild of HRH Queenie of BR. It really is a great way to try new products or build your collection in a really affordable way. The Great Ball Season box for example. 11 products, and 2 of them aren't even available to buy here in NZ yet! And the best bit? You pay about a third of how much it would cost to buy these products in store!
But the icing on the cake? The rewards program. Every purchase earns points. If friends use your referral link, you earn points. Like them on FB. You earn points. And what do points make? Sorry Brucie, not prizes. But boxes. Yeap, you simply redeem your points for money off of a BBBE purchase.
Of course, there are lots of beauty rewards programs out there, so even if you only occasionally shop at a store, if they have a loyalty program - sign up. It all helps!
So there's 4 ways I sustain my beauty habit and some pretty cool deals to check out. How do you make your beauty habit affordable?!
Pays to look around when looking for deals for sure :) I just wish I could get a pay rise so I could spend more on beauty products haha, might have to talk to the boss!! :)
