How time flies. It feels just like yesterday that I would be keeping an eye on the clock while trying to feed my daughter in the hopes that an email would ping into my inbox telling me I'd been selected for a Beauty Review trial. I used to abandon mother duty and whizz onto the site as fast as my fingers could fly across the keyboard and hope to snag a coveted spot on a team. During my time as a member I got to trial a wonderful range of products, many of which I went on to repurchase time and time again (L'Oréal Paris Elvive Smooth Intense range, I'm looking at you!). Now I'm on the other side of the BR fence, I love seeing our Review Experts' thoughts on the products that we trial, and their opinion's have definitely influenced by purchasing decisions.
So what are their favourite trials over the years? What products blew their minds? Read on...
RachLouise: Oh this is a hard one! My fave trial team would have to be the Trilogy Sensitive Range trial. Amazing products and I'm blessed to have been able to trial them.
L'Oreal Paris Age Perfect Intense Nutrition Regime
jkay: L'Oreal Paris Age Perfect Intense Nutrition Regime - good to be able to put other products aside and be able to truly judge the effect of the matching range.
Braun Silk-épil 9 SkinSpa SensoSmart™Epilator
RamblingRose: Ooh, it's so hard to choose just one. I have a few favorites: Olay Hyaluronic Super Serum, Braun Silk-epil 9 epilator, L'Oreal's Clay Shampoo range and the Crea Clip (it makes cutting hair a breeze).
L'Oréal Paris Préferénce - Bolds
bevik1971: So many! But probably the L'Oréal BOLDS hair colour in Rose Gold, it's my new favourite colour and sticking to it!
MrsO: I loved being on the Trial Team for 3 full sized Kiehl's products as I got to test a full Kiehl's skincare routine which included a serum, a concentrate and a cream which addressed key signs of ageing.
A'Kin Brightening Rosehip Oil with Vitamin C
Koni: A'Kin Brightening Rosehip Oil with Vitamin C. I have oily skin so I used to steer clear of facial oils but this trial gave me the opportunity to explore a product type that now makes an appearance in my skincare routine from time to time.
Manicare Salon Magnifying Pore Vacuum
Nemesisroxx: Manicare Salon Magnifying Pore Vacuum. It is something I had fun using, so did a couple of my friends. Grossly satisfying!
VS Sassoon Steam Straight Brilliance
Whittakers-lover: I loved all trials I have participated in but my favourite was VS Sassoon Steam Straight Brilliance. Wow these hair straighteners are amazing. My hair looks and feels fantastic.
essano Visible Repair Eye Cream
MareeB: Sooo many! The recent Essano products have been amazing, but the derma roller and foot care products were also standouts.
Manicare Firming Body Sculptor
LucyAnnexx: Do I have to pick only one?! I really enjoyed the Manicare Firming Body Sculptor. It was completely different to anything I had trialled before and it was very cool to use.
Sooooooo many fab trials, so many wonderful reviews, so many bad beauty buying moments avoided! Personally, I can't wait to see what we trial next!

My favourite trial was the Garnier Green Labs Pinea-C Routine! I started in 2020 and have had some amazing opportunities! Would love to try a curler one day as I've seen BR do a few straighteners which I unfortunately haven't had the chance to review but love reading the reviews to see if it'll be something for me
