The Silly Season's Here! Get Yo' Glitter On!

It's been a crazy year has ol' 2018. It's had its fair share of ups and downs and what-the-heck-is-going-on-in-the-world moments. Finally we're coming to the end of it and it's time to let our hair down, pull on our funkiest clothes and rock the makeup in all its fun finery! ... and for us that means glitter! On the lips! On your cheeks! On your eyes! Throw that goodness around with wild abandon then let your hair down and release your inner unicorn or mermaid ... <insert your favourite sparkly mythical animal here>.

I only have glitter nail polish and it’s mainly used as a top coat after a couple of days after my normal nail polish, to cover chipped colour and stretch out the manicure time. This is the best life saving tip I’ve ever thought of, I was probably not the first, but still, proud of it! :D

I love all things glittery. I've always wanted to be able to pull off the mesmerizing glitter eyes... but I've tried & failed. Little bits of the glitter all fall into your eyes & you end up looking like you've spent 3 days without sleep passing around a peace pipe at a hippy festival.

I love glitter but don't go to festivals or clubbing so wouldn't go for the whole body face glitter look. I keep it simple, eyes, lips, nails.

I love glitter and bling! I used to love buying glitter gel I’m little tubs for the eyes and face. As I’ve gotten older I have toned it down a little so it’s more subtle.

I think it looks a bit naff on the lips, also I’m not sure how practical that’d be? I’m just thinking about the whole glitter-on-your-food or falling-into-your-cuppa situation... Also, I don’t think it quite works all over the torso! That’s a bit OTT for me! Same with the unexpected pops of glitter on parts of the upper lip and corner of the eyes... But I do quite like the undereye glitter glam look (second pic). It looks quite pretty and feminine and I totally agree that it’s got ‘major festival vibes’ to it. I can just imagine people rocking that look at the R&V festival here in Gizzy!
