The Beauty Crew went on tour this weekend, which of course meant our must-have, can't-live-without-them products came with us. In varying degrees of swankiness it has to be said.
From GWP cosmetic cases to gorgeous beauty cases that matched the luggage; everyone's beauty stuff was safely and securely contained for travel. Well almost everyones. I must confess to having a bit of a last minute run around looking for something to put my toiletries and such in. In the end I used a couple of washable sandwich envelopes for leakables and stashed those and the bigger stuff into a large drawstring organza gift bag. I know. Classy AND resourceful.
It's time to go shopping, which as we all know usually ends with a foray down the high-end rabbit hole. Ladies, I give you, the world of luxury beauty cases.
Monagram Beauty Case.
For just under $6000 you can be the proud owner of the Louis Vuitton Monogram Beauty Case. A modest 8.27 x 9.06 x 11.81 inches in size, it features golden brass pieces, reinforced corners and an s-lock closure. There's a removable case, mirror an washable lining, as well as a leather ID holder. And it's made of, erm, canvas. Come on, for $6000 you'd expect leather and gold right?!

Bottega Veneta Medium Woven Cosmetics Bag
A very travel-sized cosmetics bag measuring 3.5 x 6.5 x 3.5". It's made of Bottega Veneta's signature woven lambskin and features burnished gunmetal hardware. By hardware I'm guessing they mean the zip.
Samsonite Cosmolite Beauty Case.
Now we may be safely out of the 4 figures now, but half a grand is still a little bit of a punch to the wallet isn't it?! Although I have to say this is my favourite case for sure.
This Samsonite Cosmolite Beauty Case brings to mind the legend of Aphrodite - beauty within a shell. Compact and stylish, this case is impact resistant but lightweight - so your makeup stash will be unharmed during travel. And the interior is an OCD's dream - with sections to make organising your makeup a dream.
MARC by Marc Jacobs Crosby Quilted Small Cosmetics bag

And, lastly, we digress...

So there we have it - the weird and wondeful world of luxury travel - for your beauty products. So time to 'fess up. When you travel how do you cart your hair and skin care products around? Do you have a proper vanity case, or like me, do you reach for the nearest semi-useful vessel on the way out the door?
