Kellie Confession: I'm a wuss. Big time. I can't watch horror movies. You won't find me at Spookers. And, as much as I think Halloween needs to be about the scary not the sexy, I won't be traipsing about late at night on October 31st because I feel it's better to be safe and sound tucked up in bed. (The irony is I adore horror novels, go figure...) However, despite my scaredy cat nature, at this time of year I have to put on my big girls britches and crawl out of my horror hidey hole because Halloween is when the Beauty Review crew trawls the internet for terrifyingly good inspiration to send your way.
This year we'd like you to meet Mimi Choi - a makeup artist from Vancouver. Or as we like to think of her... the person that won Halloween with this look...
This is not photoshopped. This is for real. And every time I look at it I feel queasy. And deeply unsettled. The look took Mimi an hour and a half to create, and it's inspired by Dali's 'Surrealist Newton'.
It gets even more disturbing when you see how it looks when she's moving. You can check out her Instagram video here.
This isn't the only scary sensation from Mimi. She's created a fair few freaky deaky looks...
Dali again provides the inspiration and the result is spine tinglingly good. But if you want to straight out disturb the heck out of people this look could be the ticket...
When I saw it I squeaked. Like a frightened little mouse. Can you imagine the looks you'd get if you wore this out on Halloween? People would take a few steps backward at a rapid pace, though probably not as quickly as they'd run when they caught a glimpse of the first look.
So what say you my beauties? Are these looks you'd be willing to replicate for Halloween? Do they terrify you as much as they do me? Or have you seen worse? Could you create worse? And if you can be sure to take a pic and pop the look on the photowall!
Wow what a talent! Love this so much
