Green eyeshadow has a strange reputation.  VIvid greens surely belong in the 80s, pale greens belong on nannas and deep greens belong to the gothic.  With such polar stereotypes for one colour we can't help but think there must be a middle ground.

So we went on the hunt for a green eyeshadow look that your average gal about town could pull off.  And by golly, we think we've found it!

Teamed with soft pink lips, this light pixie green eye look is perfect for daytime wear as well as night time.

We're going to be putting Maybelline's Big Eyes Palette in Luminous Grass to the test and we need to find a trial team of ladies who want to go green!

So why not tell us your thoughts on green eyeshadow - does it work for you?  If you've never tried it, why not? If you make the team for this palette how would you wear it?

Green! My favourite eye shadow colour! I have greeny aquamarine eyes with fair skin and dark hair (similar to the model) and I find it to be a very flattering combination. I am always on the look out for new green shades/palettes as good ones are hard to come by. Would love to try this one, it would get a LOT of use.

Omg love it!! Green eyeshadow works best for my skin tone for some reason! Gotta have it <3

I have brown eyes, so coloured eyeshadows make them so much more interesting! A touch of green would be so refreshing with the dark sumptuous looks of autumn and winter, and make everyone else green with envy too ;) I've only ever tried green eyeliner though, so maybe one day save up for a green shadow

A small amount of green can work really well. Especially if eyes are hazel or green (mine are hazel). This is a look I'm definitely into.

I would love to try it. I have green eyes and have been on the hunt forever to find eyeshadow that really brings the colour out. This looks like it could really work well with my eyes and skin colour !

I'm not too sure about this green eyeshadow. I do like greens but this one looks brighter than I am used to so not totally convinced that I could pull it off as a day look. Would look fab at night time and would love to be convinced that it would work during the day as well.

It's a gorgeous look, but not sure it would suit my colouring but willing to give it a try! I do use an olive green as a contrast and it does look great.

I really like this look and the use of the green eyeshadow. Tis look would have been great for st Patrick's day. I would use the green eyeshadow in exactly the same way as the picture above as I think it looks gorgeous. I don't actually wear a lot of green eyeshadow but I would be keen to do the same look with other eyeshadow colours like purple.

I have hazel-green/brown eye so this could be cool - might bring out the green in my eyes! A bit of fun I think!
