Do you suffer from oily skin?

It's no wonder the choices in skin care products are seemingly endless, there are so many different types of skin - dry, oily, combination, normal, sensitive.  Some people will stay the same skin type for the whole of their lives whist others will under go skin changes due to age, hormones or their enviroment.

Our skin type really depends on 3 factors - water content (affecting comfort and elasticity), oil/lipid content (affecting softness) and sensitivity level.  Younger skin is more likely to be affected by these things, notably the oil content.  Young skin is more prone to excess oil (particularly the T-zone) which is why we generally have more break outs and blackheads before we hit our mid-twenties.

Scarlett & Green have producted Under Cover - "an oil free natural moisturiser with added SPF 15, specifically for young skin".  Among the many benefits this product boasts, it is non comedegenic (it won't block your pores) and is antiseptic (great for helping to heal spots and keeping them cleansed).  It is also PH balanced, eliminating the need for a toner.

So tell us what kind of skin do you have?  Do you struggle to find products that work for your skin type or have you perfected your skin care routine?  What are the main concerns that come with your skin type?

Combination maybe?! Who knows?!

I have breakouts everywhere on my face & I hate them all!!! My skin is oily one day, dry the next day.

I have super oily and sensitive skin which changes with the wind it seems.

I'm pretty much oily - mainly my forehead which is super annoying, if I wear make up (depending how much I have on) it can look all gross by late afternoon if I don't touch it up etc. I love the natural dewy look, but someone with my type of skin cannot pull that off. :(

I have no idea of my skin type. One minute its dry, next its sensitive, next its oily (at the moment it is more on the oily side). I give up trying to guess.

I have oily to combination skin, which is quite prone to random breakouts and that is definitely my main concern, i hate pimples (who doesn't)!!!!! I do struggle to find products which work well for my skin and have started to give up on getting a proper skin care regime going. I'm always keen to try new products which claim to help with oily skin though.

When younger my skin tended towards oily when exposed to the sun (which back in those days was constantly in summer) but after the joys of an auto-immune disease that robbed me of my beautiful skin I now have sensitive skin that reacts to all things botanical, lanolin, oily product and/or creams/potions containing retinol acids. I am lucky that I still have fairly soft skin and I'm still amazingly wrinkle free for my age so there is obviously still enough oil to keep things ticking along nicely.

Ive always been very lucky with my skin type, it was never too oily never too dry, but i had really bad skin problems and i went on ORATANE to sort this out, and my lips got extremely dry and i ended up with dry patches on my face. after the course of the treatment my skin problems had all cleared up but i was left with extremely oily skin from coming off the medication (which was almost three months ago) and still suffer from oily skin majority of the time ! really want to try something that could help with this !

At the moment, my skin is incredibly greasy and acne prone

My skin used to be super oily (urgh, teenage life >.<) and I'm 18 now and it's getting better but the forehead still gets really oily especially during the summer which sucks because I have a fringe. I have yet to find a product to help much with that so I'd be super keen to try this out for sure. My skin is also really sensitive as I was born with eczema, so sometimes the products people recommend to me are unfortunately really drying. Natural moisturiser with SPF15 and catering directly to young skin? I'm in!

21st November, 2013

My skin type seems to change depending on the weather. If its cold my skin is VERY dry, but the minute the mercury pushes 20 degrees, the oil breaks out like it needs to fry some chips or something. Because most of the time the the sun is out when it is hot, I like to make sure I have a moisturiser with SPF on, so my skin feels 50 shades of yuck.
