There’s nothing quite like applying a bold red lip so perfectly that it’s all crisp lines and even pigmentation to make you feel like an artist. Or taking your eyeshadow look to the next level with your crease work on point, outer and inner edges of your lids working seamlessly from dark to light, with a dab of something luminous in the middle of your lid to open your eye, and it’s all so beautiful you’re tempted to call yourself the new Monet. But then, THEN, you get some people who really do turn makeup application into an art form by drawing art on their body. Not unlike a tattoo... but unlike a tattoo it can be washed or wiped off, creating a fresh canvas for a new look on your lips or nails or eyelids or even your chest. So what’s got us wowing? Check out these talented artists…
Jazmina Daniel is one Instagrammer to keep an eye on if you're looking for inspiration, or if you're in the mood to stare in awe at someone whose talent knows no bounds. This amazing reproduction of Bey's baby bump photo took her just over four hours. I wonder if she shed a few tears of sadness when she went to wipe it off?
Makeup artist, Georgina Ryland, really takes makeup as an artform to the next level. Not only does she create some crazy amazing eye art, she also extends it down to her chest area, where she paints extraordinary images, as well as mind-blowingly perfect scenes from iconic movies like Star Wars, and Beauty and the Beast.
Of course if you're wanting your artistry to last that little bit longer, then getting art on your nails is the way to go - especially if your work of art is of a work of art. From Van Gogh's Starry Night to Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa, nail artists have created some of the world's finest works on their nails so beautifully we wonder how they get any work done during the day - because if their nail looks were on our nails we'd just sit and stare all day in absolute awe.
Of course it doesn’t have to be as full on as that, there are plenty of ways we can get in on the action like by stippling colour around our eye area, as demonstrated by Instagrammer, cosmetologist and self taught makeup artist, Delaney Frahm.
All of these are amazing! I love, love, LOVE the nails!
