Where Do You Most Use Concealer?

Ahhh the concealer.  A small but powerful product in your makeup bag - one not to be underestimated!

They can make you look wide awake when you've had a far-less-than-perfect night's sleep.  They can hide the Mount Zitsuvius that erupts on your chin every month.  It really is worth finding the perfect concealer for you - once you've found the right one, you'll never look back!

Over or Under?

There's a few schools of thought surrounding the application of concealer and whether it should go over or under foundation.  We reckon it depends on what you're concealing.

Less is more when creating a great makeup base, so you want as few layers as possible.  When covering dark circles, always use concealer (and a corrector if necessary) before foundation.  Dab the product along the affected area and blend well.  You might find when it's time to apply foundation that you actually don't need to apply it on top of the concealer, but that you can blend where the two meet.  Have a play and find out what works best for you.

For blemishes, pimples and flaws you'll want to apply concealer on top of your foundation and blend outwards with a brush.  For this type of concealment you'll want your concealer to match your foundation shade.  Finish with powder.

The Trial Team.

We sent out the new L'Oreal Paris Infallible More Than Concealer to 30 reviewers selected randomly from our database.

It promises ultra long-wear with an undetectable finish that doesn't crease or settle into fine lines.  Whatever your concern; blemishes, dark circles, uneven skin tone, you're covered with L'Oreal Paris Infallible More Than Concealer.  It's available in 16 shades, so you can find the perfect match for your skin.

I know that I should but I don't wear concealer! I always complain about my under eye area and lack of coverage of my foundation so I really need to purchase some. Would like to trial this to see if it makes a difference!

Concealer is my #1 Must Have makeup item. Often I will only use concealer with no other makeup. I absolutely need it under my eyes and on blemishes which usually pop up around my jaw line. I also have rosacea on my nose, so if it flares up I will conceal my nose too.

I have been loyal to the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer for many years as it has the perfect creamy texture and light pink undertones for my skin. I keep one tube in my room, and one in the car for Didn't-Have-Time-to-Look-in-the-Mirror Days. I am very curious to see if L'Oreal's new concealer matches the consistency which I loved so much about their Pro Glow Foundation, and if the colour range is a match too!

Since having kids I’ve started using concealer religiously under my eyes before applying foundation. Would love a spot on this trial team.

Concealer is a definite in my makeup bag, it great for blemishes, breakouts, or those dark circle eyes. It's easy to use as a base before applying your foundation.

I've only used concealer in the last few year as ive got older and more tired looking. I used to put it under my foundation but had a friend tell me that's not how its done, and feel it works better putting it on top.

I haven't been using mine much recently as even though it's light it looks orange. I have to use it under foundation.

Getting older though I'm also having to pay attention to those eye circles. I'd love to try this out please

I haven’t been a regular user of concealers. I tend to use a BB cream for foundation as its light especially for older skin. I do have the odd hormonal zit that I would need extra cover for. I’m interested in trialling this concealer with the pigment elastic that doesn’t settle in your creases... for a fresh look when you are tired. And make those spots disappear.

To be honest my main use of concealer is neither - I do use undereye for a full makeup look but for everyday wear after applying a light layer of foundation, I add concealer to my cheeks and nose to conceal redness without having to wear too much makeup.

i use for blemishes i prob need to learn the under eye technique thou lol and I'm tend to put it on over bb cream or foundation and blend it so the spot or scar is covered. Always been a revlon concealer girl so im keen to try another brand :)

I reach for two types of concealers every.single.day! One for under my eyes and one to cover hyperpigmentation over my face in the form of new and old acne scars, and this is after foundation. This concealer sounds fantastic and would love to trial. Imagine not having to reach for 2 different concealers every day.

5th July, 2019

Both. These days under my eyes but I used to get really bad blemishes I have in even skin colouring too and textured skin. I've never tried the infallible line. I think occasionally I have used consealer as a contour too especially when shades don't really match foundation. The applicators and size can be handy for that.

I use concealer every single day. There’s not a day that I wouldn’t reach for it. I use it to cover a large red birthmark under my eye which I’m quite self conscious of. I would absolutely love to try this concealer out

Absolutely need it on my dark circles so I don't look like a zombie!

5th July, 2019

I use concealer daily to hide the blemishes on my face. I cannot go without it. It's become a ritual of mine as I am conscious of the marks showing on my face. Always looking for something new and better to use so would love to trial the new l'oreal concealer.

Always my under eyes. I suffer really bad dark circles and it tends to look like I don't get enough sleep?
