As usual, when it comes to ageing, men seem to have a better deal. They're silver foxes right? George Clooney. Tayor Kinney. Richard Gere. For women on the other hand, greying hair is often not a desired happening. From furiously plucking out the first few to frantically covering them with colour as they became more prevalent, a lot of women hate the natural loss of pigmentation that comes, mostly, with age.
Thankfully, ladies such as the forever gorgeous Helen Mirren and the wonderful Judi Dench prove grey can be just as glamourous and sexy in women, as it is in men, and now it seems the trend is heading down the generations.
YES. We're talking about the trend that is: purposefully colouring your hair grey. From dark gunmetal shades with a hint of the sinister, to greys so bright and shiny they're almost white, women of all ages are embracing and rocking the grey look. I've even been questioning, in all seriousness, if I should give it a go. I like the pastel grey look, that soft, kinda dirty-chalk grey. Although given my previous tolerance for blonde maintenance, it would probably be a short-lived phase.
Which is why today's trial product seems perfect for people like me. You know, those of use that like trying new trends, we just don't like commiting to them. We're putting Schwarzkopf Live Colour Pastels in Cool Grey to the test. This gentle semi-permanent formula contains no ammonia or peroxide and lasts up to 8 washes.
Now this product works best on blonde or prelightened hair - and brassy or yellow tones will affect the end result. So we're looking for blondes only for this one.

Is this the trial for you? What do you think of going grey on purpose? Do you believe that grey is not only a natural part of ageing, it's also gorgeous in it's own right? Or do you think grey is for grannies?

Love the look but unfortunately I suit darker tones only.
