What Type of Cleanser Do You Use?

Flubble - a foamy bubble

Oi, you.  Yes You!  It's time to come clean!  Don't worry, we're not asking you to confess your deepest, darkest secrets - we want to know about your cleansing habits!

Cleansers are a vital part of your skincare routine and it's simply a skincare must to find the perfect cleanser for your skin and lifestyle.  The wrong cleanser can leave your face so clean it squeaks - and that's a bad thing.

There are two main types of cleanser - foaming and non-foaming.  Foaming cleansers are lathered up with water, much like soap; but unlike soap they are specially formulated to be used on the face. Non-foaming cleansers, cream or oil for example, are applied to dry or mildly damp skin and are removed with or without water, using a tissue, cotton pad or dry face cloth.

Now cleansing foamers are usually the kind that will leave your face too clean, stripped of oils and at risk of being dry.  But not all foamies do this!

We're putting Za Deep Hydration Cleansing Foam to the test.  This foaming cleanser gives clarity to the skin by gently removing dirt, sebum and excess dead skin surface cells.  It promises to leave your skin feeling moisturised and refreshed.

So, when it comes to cleansers what format do you prefer and why? If you like using one that foams, is it because your face feels "cleaner"?  Do you use the same type everytime, even if you switch brands, or do you like to change it up depending on how you and your skin feel?

Get chatting below, we need 20 members to put the Za Deep Hydration Cleansing Foam to the test - and you could be one of them!

P.S - Don't forget to head over to our Facebook page.  We're giving away 4 complete Za Deep Hydration ranges!

I've never tried a foam, I just use the cream, it works well for me but I'd try something else.

I start with Almay oil free make up remover pads on the eye make up, follow with Garnier cleansing water, and then with Skinfood cleans to get squeaky clean. Have not tried a cleansing foam, would like to give it a trial.

I use a combo

I use an exfoliating scrub because I feel that foam cleansers only do a surface clean, but I also find the exfoliating process also leaves my skin filmy with bits sometimes, so I follow the exfoliating by a foaming wash which gets rid of the bitsy film feeling and buffs up the blackheads exposing them on my nose so my biore blackhead nose strip is a million times more efficient at remiving them.

:)

I like to use a foaming one to wash the make up off properly but other wise if no make up then some thing more gentle so as not to strip my skin

I like the feeling that I am getting a good wash but at the same time I know the foam can be stripping my skin

Im definitely a 'foaming' girl (that sounds slightly dodgy)! I like how my face feels after a good wash and time is always of the essence in the morning, so being able to wash my face in the shower is super important. I'm using a Garnier one at the moment, but I'm probably only about 70% happy with it - would love to try the ZA one!

I tend to stick to the cleansing balm from the body shop because it doesn't strip my skin, but I feel like I have to cleanse twice because I use lots of sunscreen on my face lately and it doesn't remove it all in the first go. I would be interested to see if this would work better, and still be as moisturising as the balm is?

At the age of 44 I still have cleansing issues. My skin is combination but my oily patches still get zits :(

I'm a no flubber bubba! Seems we are few and far between hehe. I've never been into bubbles and foam when it comes to cleansing my skin... its often too drying on my sensitive and dehydrated skin. I often cleansed with oils, especially coconut oil. Would love to know how this would be on my skin.

I have been using Garnier Micellar Water lately, but would like to go back to a foaming cleanser for a more thorough cleanse, and the Za one sounds fantastic.

I have been using an essan facial cleanser and it comes in a pump bottle, it smells really weird. back in the day i used a J&J foaming pump cleanser and it was great.

I guess the foaming action makes you feel like the product is working and doing it's job, where as a gel/creme cleanser feels like slapping thick lotion on your face?

Foaming cleansers make me feel like my face is cleaner (weird I know) so I go for Foaming cleansers for the xtra bubbly goodness, speaking of giveaways it reminds me I havent entered your fabulous giveaway, on todays do list <3

im currently using and loving the snowberry gentle remineralising cleanser, so good but there isn't a lot of bubbles going on, I kind of miss it but my face always looks and feels super clean it must be just mind over matter?

Ok, so I've been using my cream cleanser wrong! I didn't realise it should be used on dry skin lol. I'm a cream cleanser kind of gal. After a bad experience with a foam cleanser, which left my skin squeaky clean and caused breakouts. I have actually been looking at trying this product after a few of my friends have told me about it. Would love to be picked for this trial.

I usually go for cream or gel cleansers but I hadn't really consciously though about it before.
